1 . It was the night of the full moon, a time which always drives Java’s young people mad with excitement.

Fireworks were lit long before the moon _________. The big noise brought people out into the warm night to enjoy the interesting scene. 3 . One year my children came home from school asking where we were going on summer vacation. It seemed that all the other kids were________ where they were spending the summer.
