Yesterday, one of my colleague expressed her wish to reading The Little Prince. This is the five year that we’ve worked together. So I decide to make her wish come true. I went to a bookstore after work to look for book, imagining her reaction when she discovered it on her desk the next morning. The next morning, I arrived early at the office than usual so that nobody would see me secret leaving the book on her desk. This small gesture really made me happy. She thanked for everyone in our office. How a pleasure it is to help her realize her dream!

Last term, nothing were going well in my study. One day, my father suggested we took a walk. While walking, my father said, “I believe there are still many good things to be thankful, no matter what hard life is.” Motivate by his words, I began keeping track of the good things in my life. When the sun rose, I wrote it down on paper and careful put that paper in a box. Each time I wear my favorite dress, and I wrote that down. On New Year’s Eve, I opened a box and read all the good things, feel pleased. Recording good things is a good habit which I will keep up.

Mom was cooking while I was playing in my bedroom. All of the sudden, I heard my mom calling me. It was turned out that she asked me to buy some salts at the grocery store. I hesitated for a while. But see there was no one to depend, I had to do it by myself. I put on my shoes, took out an umbrella and walked out. When I went downstairs, I met a neighbor, whom asked me why I was going out on such hot a day. After I explained the reason, she said that I had several bags at home and offer to give me one. She was a true kind woman.
Miss Yang is one of my neighbor. As a young child, he never got any pocket money from her parents, but she could earn a little by do small jobs around the neighborhood. Like most young people, she dreamed being rich and famous, and she made her dream to come true. She’s now very rich, but she remembered where she came from. Last year I attended an after-school program calling Young at Arts where I learned dancing. My most favorite teacher at Young at Arts was Mrs. Li. She changed the way she looked at life. Before I met Mrs. Li, I wouldn’t dare to trying anything I didn’t think I would be successfully in. Mrs. Li talked with me to help me get through hard times that I was frustrated with not only dancing, but also life. She teach me that my attitude can be important than my talent. It was her encourage that helped me leave my comfort zone and achieved what I hadn’t expected before.

The other day, I was invited my friend Sam's home for dinner. I felt a bit surprising when I saw Bill there. It was two month since we two had quarreled, so I was embarrassed and didn't know how to do. I sat down on the sofa but began to watch TV. Later, Sam came to ask me to make up with Bill. Until then I realize that Sam had arranged the dinner on purpose. He went up to Bill and greeted him warmly, smile at him. He looked verb happy and talked with me excited. That night, we had a great fun together.
Planning is good as it decides in details how we do what we want to do it. However, a plan bear no fruit without being actual carried out. My experience in the English speech contest last month is a case in point. A month before the event, I spent hours work out a schedule with my goals and practical steps. After that, I set out read widely for an inspiring topic, wrote a speech, and practicing in beautiful pronunciation with good public speech skills. I finally stood out among the rest as a first prize winner. I know why I achieved my success. It came from good planning but better practice.
Mistakes are unavoidable in life. But attitudes towards it may make difference. I still remember how my spoken English was improved. At the beginning, I always kept silent in our oral class to avoid make mistakes. Before long my teacher got to know about his situation, he encouraged me to speak out that I thought. Whenever I made mistakes and felt discouraging, my teacher and my classmate would help me to find out my problem. I also joined in an English club to get more chances to speak. Practice makes perfect. Now I can talk fluent in English. Just as the saying went, “Every bean has its black.”Don't be afraid of making mistakes. Learning from mistakes, and success is just waiting for us.
On my way to the bookstore, I noticed a group of people were surrounded two anxious foreigners. I stopped and found that they were tourist from Canada who careless left a very important wallet in a taxi. Then I accompanied them to the nearest police station and without the police’s help, we got in touch with the taxi company. We told that a driver had just turned in a wallet and then a policeman drives us to the company without delay. The two Canadians happily claimed their wallet, that contained their passports, flight tickets, some cash or credit cards. At last, they expressed our thanks to me. I feel it is really a great pleasure to help the others.
When I came to England, I know little English. As you can probably guess it, my life was difficult for a time. Simple tasks like ordering food or take a taxi were quite stressful. I signed up for classes and studied on my own as well, so I made poor progress. I became very discouraging. Finally, I found best way to learn English was to make friends with native speakers and spend time on them. I appreciated playing in a band with an English woman which became one of my best friend in London. My English improved great by hanging out with her.
