I asked my dad if he wanted to take a trip to Iceland. No one was more surprising than me when he accepted my invite. We spent months preparing and plan for the trip. After our overnight flight we picked the rental car and headed out to drive along the Golden Circle. We were exhausted from the flight. One of the stop on the Golden Circle was the Geysir. Wait for it to erupt was the coldest ten minutes of my life. We got lost on the drive back to Reykjavík. I began to wonder that whether this whole trip was a mistake. On the contrary, it was a perfect one, which repaired our relationship. Now I can tell everything to each other.

Last Friday I took the subway home as usually. Since our physics teacher had just teach us in class that the escalator (自动扶梯) worked, I decided to see how fast the escalator went. To my surprise, it went a speed of about 40 m/min. The next day, I went to a department store with her cousin Emily. I timed the escalator here too. I found that it was much slower, going about 30 meter every minute. Why? I check on the Internet and found the reason. Stores slow down escalators on a purpose, allowing customers more time to looking at their products.

My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport.
We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath.What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed several local dish.
It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

As the saying goes, "Good habits benefit from you all your life." Enter high school, I was crazy about fast food and ate too much. As is known to all, the Great Wall is one of the best-known tourist attraction around the globe. Almost everybody wants to pay a visit, but I am no exception. The old saying “The early bird catches the worm.” show us the importance of planning, working hard and trying constantly. To achieve outstanding results, the most people must plan ahead and work hard to overcome all kind of difficulties.
That has been my own experience, either. When I first started at high school, I seldom passed my exam, so I never prepared well. Later, my teacher, Mr. Black, advised me plan everything in advance. She asked me to study hard as well. After a year of put his advice into practice, I can now easy pass all my exams.
