Peter lived in a village. He was always upset and treated others     1     (bad). He enjoyed himself by making other     2     (villager) unhappy. A father in Houston, TX, found out his son was being bullied(虐待)at school and     1    (successful) solved the problem by befriending his son's bully.

Aubrey Fontenot said his son Jordan, 8, had been complaining(抱怨)about a bullying at school.

A shepherd became a hero as he saved six marathoners among a group of those    1    (affect) by extreme weather.

Zhu Keming, a farmer from Jingtai county of Baiyin, Northwest China's Gansu province, was grazing his sheep on a mountain near the Yellow River on Saturday morning. As it began raining and the temperature dropped     2    (sharp), Zhu went to seek shelter in a nearby cave house     3     he had stored clothes and dried food for emergency use.

While     4    (stay) in the cave house, Zhu heard cries for help from outside. He walked out and saw a group of marathon runners, including one convulsing(抽搐) due to the cold.

He immediately took the runners into the cave house, and started fires to warm them. He then called the emergency hotline     5     help.

While waiting for     6    (rescue), Zhu kept looking around outside. He then found     7     runner laying on ground. He carried the man into the cave house, and    8    (wrap) him in quilts until he regained consciousness.

Zhang Xiaotao, who survived the ill-fated race that claimed the lives of 21 runners, was    9    (emotion) when recalling the shepherd's help.

I was on a train in Switzerland. The train came to a stop and the conductor’s voice over the loudspeaker     1     (deliver) a message in German, Italian, and French. I’d made the mistake of not learning any of those languages before my vacation.

Everyone started getting off the train and an old woman saw that I was     2     (confuse). She could speak some English and told me that an accident had happened on the     3     (track). She asked me where I was trying to get to, then went and talked to some workers, and came back to tell me that we’d have to get on trains three or four times to get there.

I was really glad she was heading     4     same way because it would have been impossible for me to figure it     5     on my own. So we went from one train station to the next, getting to know each other along the way.

I had made it just in time to catch my train to Rome. She told me she had a train to catch as well. I asked her how much farther she had to go and     8     turned out that her home was two hours back the other way.

She had jumped from train to train and traveled the whole way just     9     (make) sure that I made it. I was in shock. A woman spent her whole day sitting on trains and taking her hours away from her home just to help out a confused tourist     10     (visit) her country.
