The Spring Festival, which falls the first day of the first lunar month, is the most importantly festival for all of us Chinese. I have an unforgettable Spring Festival last year. At New Year’s Eve, all my family member got together to have a family reunion dinner, after that we enjoyed the CCTV Spring Festival Gala until the clock struck twelve. Then, singing and laughing, we set off fireworks with my cousins to welcome the New Year’s coming. Are you eager to enjoy such a great happiness with us in China?

Many students are unwilling to do housework at home, say that they are too busy studying. However, in my opinion, students should spent some time helping with housework. Here are some reason. If we left all the housework to our parents, it will make them very much tired. For our part, being independent is really benefit. As a matter fact, the earlier we learn to be independent, the better our future will be. Doing housework can help us to learn to look after us. Now we are no long small children, but we ought to help with housework to reduce our parents’ burdens.

Mom was used to give us something special for dinner when I was girl. She once put some burnt breads in front of Dad. To my surprised, Dad just smiled at Mom and eat it up. After dinner, Mom said sorry to Dad for the bread, and Dad said, "I true love burnt bread,dear." That night, I asked Dad if he really liked the bread. He said: "My mom is tired, and you see－a bit of burnt food never hurts anyone!" Now I know life is not perfect. Nobody are perfect. What we really need is to understand each other. My school schedule is tight than ever because I’m in the final year of high school. Therefore, I still manage to do what I can help with the housework. I’ve gotten into the habit of cleaning up after dinner when I turned nine. I also do thing like sweeping and washing clothes. I even begin to cook for my family last month. Doing the housework makes I learn to take responsibility at home, and in a long term, in society. For another, I find the time spend doing the housework with my parents really fun and rewarding. We chat with and sometimes even sing together!
I’m the only child in my family and I hate to do houseworks. I always leave my chores undone because I know my mum will help us. My mum was on a business trip in this week, and the house had become awful dirty. To welcome her back, this morning I give the house a thorough cleaning. After do my room, I cleaned the other rooms. Then I mopped the floor and washed the dishes in kitchen. I was really tired and very happy. I had a feeling of achievement before everything was done. When my mum went back home, she said it was really a great surprise.
