2 . How to Get More Time in a Day
Do you feel like there are never enough hours in a day? Are you always behind on your tasks? If so, here are some tips to help you take control of your time.
When making your to-do list, be aware of unrealistic expectations. If your list is too long, you’ll feel discouraged when you can’t get through it.
Once you have your list, attack it one item at a time. Many people believe that performing multiple tasks simultaneously (同时地) saves time, but in truth multitasking takes 30 percent longer than doing things one by one.
The next step is to find ways to use time more wisely. Plenty of time each day is spent texting or emailing, so imagine how much time we’d save if we just called people instead.
At the end of the day, it’s important to give your mind and body a chance to rest. Take breaks to stop, breathe, and clear your thoughts, and don’t let mounting duties prevent you from getting enough sleep.
A.You can begin by making a to-do list. |
B.The solution is to prioritize (优先处理). |
C.Speaking over the phone is more efficient. |
D.Only when you remove such activities can you feel refreshed. |

Sleep seven to eight hours a night.

5 . While having dreams is fine, achieving dreams requires determination and commitment. Above all, we must feel motivated on the journey to fulfill our dreams. How do we stay motivated once we have committed ourselves to action?
★Setting goals.
The first step to achieving a dream is to turn it into a series of goals.
★
You can help keep yourself motivated by mixing with other motivated people. Their attitude is going to be optimistic and confident, and you can draw on that yourself. Negative thoughts can soon disappear if you are with people filled with positivity.

When you are faced with a setback, don’t just let it defeat you. Believe in yourself and your abilities.

6 . I’m not a tea person. I do keep a box of assorted (什锦) teas on hand for company and for being sociable. One day, feeling troubled, I pulled out the tea box.
Camomile (洋甘菊) is one of the teas that always get left over after people have picked out their favorites. I gave the neglected camomile a sniff. It didn't really smell like anything. According to the box, it promotes relaxation. So does a cup of hot water, which is most similar to camomile tea. Over a cup of camomile tea, something happened.
I was transported to someplace very specific: my uncle Cliff’s farm. Uncle Cliff was one of the best land farmers in North Dakota. Scents (气味) help evoke memories. I found the cats hanging around the farm always showed up at milking time, waiting for Uncle Cliff to lose a drop of milk. But he never lost a drop.
At Grandma’s house, you could never be in trouble. You could do anything that interested you. Even if you rolled in the mud, everyone still thought you were good enough. Everyone laughed as often as they could. Even if they were laughing at you, it was OK. Grandma has soft wrinkly skin, and she loves you so much. She's right here, in the steam.
There will always be troubles in life, and I won't solve them all. But if I can bury my face in Grandma’s flowered apron, if I can be a 6-year-old girl again, just by drinking a cup of camomile tea, that’s what I'm going to do.

Psychologists refer to this kind of writing as “expressive writing’’, whose idea is to write about a painful experience or difficult situation.
