1     (事实上), I’m writing to ask you for your guidance on a short play, which is adapted from one of our English textbooks.

(The play is based on a novel, The Million Pound Bank Note by Mark Twain)     2     (用强调句升级加黑体部分). The story is about the adventure of a poor businessman who found himself     3     (give) a million pound bank note by two rich businessmen     4     (打赌，定语从句). We will be grateful if you can give us some advice on dialogue between characters, body action, plot, setting, and so on. Could we meet in our classroom at 5 p.m. this afternoon if it is convenient for you?

Last Sunday witnessed a 5 km cross­country running race     1     (host) by our school, which both students and teachers of our school     2     (我校师生都参加了对金牌的角逐).

The “Top 10 Singers” Competition

Days before the “Top 10 Singers” competition, I was making predictions about who might w    1     (获胜，赢). Everyone was preparing for it. The competitors from my class g    2     (抓住) every chance to practise, and some even composed their own m    3     (音乐，乐曲)!

Afterwards came a cleanup, where we collected all the trash and litter we found in the hike and put them in the bins.

I’m sure the singing contest will be a great success.

At 8 am, the old craftsman with a large box was invited to our class. We greeted him with thunderous applause (鼓掌).
