Last Sunday our school organized a visit to the Great Wall, with the aim of helping the foreign students in our school admire the beautiful scenery in China.

The moment we got there by school bus,     1     (我们迫不及待地想爬上去). Seeing this fantastic wonder, the foreign students couldn’t help speaking highly of     2     (中国古代人民的建筑能力). As the tour guide, I told them a     3     (hand) of stories about the Great Wall, (and they were interested in them)     4     (用“介词＋关系代词”升级加黑体部分). Though     5     (用了大约三小时到达最高部分)，we were all in high spirits.

It was obvious that the grand construction left a deep impression on the foreign students and I feel proud of the great wisdom of Chinese people.

    1     (事实上), I’m writing to ask you for your guidance on a short play, which is adapted from one of our English textbooks.

(The play is based on a novel, The Million Pound Bank Note by Mark Twain)     2     (用强调句升级加黑体部分). We will be grateful if you can give us some advice on dialogue between characters, body action, plot, setting, and so on. Could we meet in our classroom at 5 p.m. this afternoon if it is convenient for you?

I am afraid that the kids from other schools will     3     (对我评头论足).” Although a brain disease prevented him from walking or running like other children, his classmates viewed him as a regular kid and     4     (钦佩他令人惊奇的意志力). Finally,     5     (使我惊喜的是) he promised to run and he swung his feet toward the starting line.

Last Sunday witnessed a 5 km cross­country running race     1     (host) by our school, which both students and teachers of our school     2     (我校师生都参加了对金牌的角逐).

I’m sure the singing contest will be a great success.

Last week, I served as a volunteer at a competition     1    (由学生会举办的) to     2    (提高我的交流技能).     3    (被邀请的裁判)were from Grade Three.     4    (所有感兴趣的同学) were allowed to attend the competition.     5    (所有的准备工作完成), the competition went on smoothly. At last, the competition was very successful, and we were all to     6     (看到我们的努力被认可)by students and teachers.

At 8 am, the old craftsman with a large box was invited to our class. We greeted him with thunderous applause (鼓掌).
