文章大意:本文是一篇说明文。文章介绍了制定人生愿望清单的好处并建议人们追随自己的梦想。

1 . Life is for living according to the well-used expression. Sometimes what we wish to do is not completely up to us.     1     Many of us write a list of things we’d like to do before we leave this world—often called a bucket list (人生愿望清单).

Bucket lists have been called “the greatest hits of your life” and have helped some people get over anxiety to follow their dreams. Some of us may choose to write one to fill our life with new experiences, from skydiving to swimming with sharks.     2

This is something the BBC radio programme “All in the Mind” has been looking at. It heard from a blogger called Julie, who said she made a promise to live her bucket list.     3     Such a list can be exciting and can indeed help plan your life and give you focus.

4     But some people have argued it can be used as a strategy to try to control something that is actually uncontrollable. Clinical psychologist Linda Blair told the BBC that she was “not really in favour of bucket lists, which take you away from the natural chances.”

It’s probably true that a list can encourage people to follow someone else’s idea. But why not at least dream of what we would like to do?     5     Whether we want to plan it or just see what happens, we should have our dreams.

A.The list can sometimes be crazy.
B.Working hard helps realize bucket lists.
C.Creating bucket lists can certainly give us hope.
D.How about making a bucket list once in a while?
E.Why not reach for the stars, even if we only reach the sky?
F.She dreams of cycling around the world and pushing her limits.
G.But there is no harm in dreaming about what we want in our life.

2 . Dream is strength. The strength can bring us wherever we want to get to and it can bring us a lot of wonders on our way to the place in our dreams.

Dream is beauty. Maybe you can see the things full of magic and maybe you will be moved by your own dream.    1    . But should we have our life without dreams? Of course not.

Everyone has his dreams and dreams are especially important to teenagers. As teenagers, you have many dreams. These dreams can be very big, such as winning the Nobel Prize. Or they can be small, for example, you may just want to become one of the ten best students in your class.     2    , what do you do with it?Do you ever try to make your dream come true?

Andrew Matthews, an Australian writer, tells us that making our dreams come true is the biggest challenge in our life.     3    , or that it is impossible for you to become a writer.    4    . In fact, everyone can fulfill his dream. The first thing you must do is remember what your dream is.Don’t let it leave your heart.Keep telling yourself what you want. Do this step by step and your dream will come true earlier because a big dream is made up of many small dreams.

You must never give up your dreams.    5    . But the biggest one comes from yourself. You need to decide what is the most important and face all these difficulties bravely.

A.These kinds of thoughts stop you realizing your dream
B.There will be many difficulties on the road to your dreams
C.Once you find a dream
D.You may think you’re not very good at some school subjects
E.Both big dreams and small ones are very important to our lives

3 . Rujuta Teredesai grew up in Pune, a city in India. She saw that girls and boys in her community were not treated equally. Girls were responsible for all the household work.    1    women didn't have the same rights as men. They often suffered from mistreatment and sometimes even physical violence.

2    But she saw that organizations working to end gender discrimination usually paid attention only to the actions and attitudes of girls. "Nobody talked to young boys about equality," she said.    3    The organization, Equal Community Foundation (ECF), now reaches 40,000 people in 20 communities in Pune.

ECF matches small groups of boys, ages 14 to 17, with male mentors for a 15-week period. The mentors talk to the boys about treating girls with respect.    4    They discuss times when the boys experienced unfair treatment. Then they work with the boys to come up with ways the boys can help spread tolerance. Boys have completed projects like making maps of the safest routes for girls to walk at night.

"What we have found is that these boys don't mean to be discriminatory," Teredesai says. "They don't mean to hurt someone.    5    " When boys work to make girls' lives better, everyone in the community wins.

A.They help boys relate to girls' experiences.
