Dear John,
I’m greatly honouring to share with you about my opinion of further my study in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at that famous university.
With history of over 2000 years, TCM is wide known for it has formed a unique system to diagnose and cure illness. Generations of Chinese people as well as foreigners benefit from them. I feel really pride whenever I see patients of my father and grandfather to leave the clinics with satisfaction and hope. Just like me, many classmates of mine have made up their mind to succeed traditional Chinese doctors’ career and majored in TCM to become doctors. I believe it’ll turn up an excellent cause for me to pursue.
Best wishes.
Yours,
Li Hua

I’m so sorry to hear that you had been suffering from sleeplessness for a long time. To help you recover soon, I’d like to advise you to turn on to traditional Chinese medicine.
As is known to us, traditional Chinese medicine is practical but effective when used to treat some diseases. Comparing with the high cost of western medicine, it has reasonable price, so you don’t need to be worried about your budget. Additional, unlike western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine has few side effects. If you agree, I’d like to recommend a doctor to you, which I’m sure will offer you an ideal treatment. Please don’t hesitate to ask me for help unless you think it’s necessary. I hope you would have a speedy recovery soon.

The other day, I discover I couldn’t move my right arm and fingers after sleeping through a flight. Having diagnosed me with neural injury, the doctor suggested I could try acupuncture (针灸). So I followed his advices and began my treatment. Dozens tiny needles were inserted across my arm and fingers. I dared not move, because even a small change of position could cause a acute pain. Two weeks went by after I could eat a meal with chopsticks and it took a month for my arm and fingers to return back to their normal functions. I was very amazing at how magic these needles were. That I had always considered old-fashioned and useless turned out to be of great use. I hope acupuncture, with its help I recovered, will continue to bring health to other people.

I live alone in a rented room. A few days ago, I had serious headache. I had no friends near me who could take care of me, that made me very scared. So I texted my English teacher and asked for her kindly help. She visited to me soon later and took me to the hospital immediately. Give me some medicine, the doctor then advised me to staying in bed and have a good rest. After going home with my teacher, I took the medicine and went to sleep. Considering her poor health, my teacher cooked a meal and did some houseworks for me. Seeing the note she had left when I get up, I felt extreme grateful to my warm-hearted English teacher.

Two years ago, my friend Tom devotes himself to pet cure work. He and his pet dog naming Angel would go to the hospital three time every week. Angel was such clever that all the patients liked her, especially the kids she had worked with them. One day, a man who lost his ability to move asked to train his muscles with pet Angel by his doctor. For everyone's amazement, the man succeeded at last. The man's wife was very excitedly so she bought a lot of delicious food to treat Angel, what made Angel quite happy. Up to now, Angel has helped the number of people in need.

Last week I noticed Jack coughing in our math class. See this, I offered to take him to a clinic. There a doctor asked Jack if she had coughed for long time, Jack nodded his heads immediately. The doctor then wrote a prescription(处方)with instructions on what to take the Chinese medicine. When Jack tasted to the medicine, he almost brought it up. I comforted him with an old saying “Good medicine for health tasted bitter to the mouth”. Jack managed to drink it unwilling. But when he recovered third days later, he felt amazing at the effect of the Chinese medicine.

Last summer, I had a valuable experience working like a volunteer in the community hospital. I worked from July 15 to July 31, when elderly over 55 were given freely medical examinations. Every day I arrive early and organized the people who came over. Then I would help him fill in the forms. Lead them to the different departments was also one of my duty. Everyone there worked in a tight schedule. By the time their examinations were over, I was already bathing in sweat. Tired though I was, but I benefited a lot from the experience as I built up my confident and improved my communication skills.
