Two disabled Chinese citizens who have planted trees     1    (voluntary) in Northern China have been voted (投票) by Chinese citizens as their inspiring heroes.

The vote     2    (organize) by Xinhua News Agency since 2011 to inspire moral strength in the public by highlighting the good deeds of ordinary people. The event is the first of its kind     3    (find) heroes among grassroots people.

Jia Wenqi and Jia Haixia, both of     4     are aged over 50, have arm and sight disabilities. Disabled     5     they are, they have planted over 10,000 trees in Jingxing County over the past 13 years, preventing their village from flooding and improving the environmental surroundings.

“I am his hands; he is my eyes,” says Haixia. “We are good partners.”

5 . India and China are leading the world greening task, a latest NASA study said on Monday. It has found that the world is a greener place than it was 20 years ago. Recent satellite data shows the greening pattern (模式) is very clear in China and India.

Data from NASA Earth satellites shows that human activities in China and India influence the greening of the planet, thanks to tree planting and agriculture. The influence comes mostly from great tree-planting programs in China and modern agriculture in both countries.

China’s great influence on the global greening mainly comes from its programs to keep and make forests larger in size. The goals of the programs are to make less land degradation (退化), less air pollution, and less climate change.

“When the greening of the Earth was first noticed,   we thought it was because of a warmer, wetter climate. Now with the satellite data, we see that humans are also playing an important part,” said Rama Nemani, research scientist at NASA and writer of the study.

“Once people realize there is a problem, they may try to deal with it. In the 1970s and 1980s in India and China, the situation about vegetation (植被) loss was severe. In the 1990s, people realize it, and today things have improved. Humans are very strong．That’s what we see in the satellite data,” adding Neman.

Land areas used to grow crops are comparable in China and India more than 770,000 square miles—and have not changed much since the early 2000s. Yet,   these areas have great increased both their green leaf areas and their food production.

7 . There are many things that we can do in our own ways which will help save the environment. What are some of these ways to save the environment? Let’s take a look at a list of them.

There won’t be enough water before we need to fight for clean and fresh water. That is why saving water and preventing water pollution becomes very important. Keep simple things in mind like turning off the tap when you are brushing teeth. Don’t often take a shower. Don’t pour oil into the drains. Don’t throw rubbish into the river.

Save paper to save trees. Make sure that you use both sides of paper before throwing it away. If you can, try not to use paper as possible as you can and do not forget to recycle paper. Also, using cloth bags instead of paper bags can save much Paper. This is one of the best ways to save our environment.

Recycling is important. It makes sure that the environment is not more polluted. Recycling does not simply include recycling paper, but things like plastic, metal and office supplies like pens, ink and more. This makes sure that they are changed into material that is reusable and also puts less pressure on the environment.

What are the ways to save energy? Turn off the lights and computers before you leave. Use cold water instead of hot water to wash clothes, use the stairs instead of the lift and keep the air conditioner on moderate setting(设置)to save energy.

In a word, try our best to do something to save our environment, and we will do something helpful to save ourselves.

People are wasting things everywhere and every day.
