The other day, our class watch a short movie about noise pollution. The film shows us that long-term exposure noise pollution can cause 12,000 early deaths and 48,000 new case of heart disease annually in Europe alone. Never did I thought loud noises do so many damage to our health. Now, I always warn me to be considerate of the comfort of those nearby when used my electronic devices. I never yell at the top of my voice in the public. I often remind my parents to grow more plants in our yard, what absorb sound energy but clean the air as well.

The famous environmentalist, Professor Jin, was invited deliver a speech in our school last Friday. He started with an universally accepted theory explaining how the Earth began. During the summer break, I became a community volunteer to protecting the environment for one week. On the first day, I got up very earlier to kick off my seven day volunteer trip. As soon as I put on my volunteer clothes, I got straightly to work. While I was walking to the entrance of a residential area, I saw a man throw a cup on the ground. I immediately went to talk to her and said, ”Hi, sir. I’m volunteer. Can you throw it into the bin?" To my surprise, he just looked at me, turn around and left, leaving me feeling very embarrassed.
Later on, I had to guide people on how to classify their garbage and put it on the different categories of dustbins. There were some residents which did not have such a strong awareness of garbage classification. Besides, I also handed out leaflets on environmental protection to passer-by. That week’s experience was something I would consider it a highlight in my life, as I have helped to serve society as a whole.

Our school held an activity on last Sunday because it was “Earth Day”. Hundred of students took part in it. I am one of them. I am Liu Ying, a high school student. Our school is built 50 years ago. It is very beautifully as you can find many of tall trees, flowers and green grass here. I am very proud of learn in such a school. However, it’s a pity that there is a lot of rubbishes at some corners. I think we can do anything. Last Sunday, I went to the market with my mother to buy some freshly vegetables. My mother spent a long time bargaining before she paid for vegetables she had chosen. She wanted to get it at the lowest price because of she thought she could save some money in this way. Before coming back, she cooked such many dishes that we couldn’t eat them all. So we had to throw some foods away. As a result, the money we wasted was much than that saved from bargaining. I couldn’t help feel concerned. I think the best way to save money was to stop wasting.

A city，whether big and small，should be clean. Only when we live in a clean city we live a happy life. As we know，a clean city，that disease may be reduced and people's health may be better，are good both to our mind and body. As we all know, it’s great pleasure to study in a beautiful environment that you can breathe in fresh air and enjoy birds singing. To create a more beautiful campus, every one of us should make it our duty to protect the environment. Here is my suggestions for you.
To begin with, it is better for us to walk or ride a bicycle to school because cars produced carbon dioxide, which contributes to the global warming. Also, we should never forget to turn of the lights and the taps when we don’t use them. Besides, we are expected it to take good care of the plants in our campus and get rid of the bad habit of throw rubbish everywhere. Last but not least, it is vital for us to recycle as many as possible.

My family took an amazed trip to the northwest last summer. At the first ,we flew to Lanzhou but then visited the famous Iron Bridge there.We also tasted Lanzhou beef noodles, which were the most delicious noodles I had never had. Two days late， we went to the Mogao caves on the Silk Road. That impressed me most was the fantastic wall paintings. Finally，we reach our final destination，the Qinghai Lake，surrounded by mountains. The scenery was unbelievable beautiful. We found volunteers collecting rubbishes along the bank and we joined them too. Only then I realize we could make a difference to our environment.
