Environmental pollution does great harm to us. Tens of thousands of people die of disease caused by pollution. The area of desert in the world is growing and the weather is getting worst because the forest damage. The waste gas and liquid from factories have polluted air or rivers. Everyone is eager to get fresh air, pleasant weather and safe drunk water.
Luckily more and more people have realized what serious the problem is and they were trying their best to take measures to protect the environment. Therefore, we still need to encourage more and more people to join us in protecting their environment. Let’s keep in the mind that protecting the environment is saving ourselves!

Plogging is a new fitness trend what combines jogging with picking up litter. Since it was creating in Sweden, it has swept across the world. Plogging have many advantages. To begin with, with some bending and arm strength requiring to hold all the garbage while plogging, you will work out very efficiently than just jogging. Secondly, plogging is suitable for all ages. You just need to carry the garbage bag as well as a pair of gloves. Furthermore, there is no doubt that plogging will lead to a cleaner environment and a better world to live. Last year, our city called on the citizens to sort and recycle rubbish, but I became a volunteer in my neighbourhood. After dinner, I got to the place that different rubbish should be thrown into different bin. Then came an old lady, carrying a bag of kitchen waste with plastic bottles in them. I helped her pick out of the recyclable bottles with patient. After that, more people came and I show them how to classify the rubbish mixing in their bags. When the kitchen waste was taken away, I finished my job. Although tired, I felt happily and went home with strong sense of achievement.

We are encouraged to be nice to other people. However, most people forget to be nice to environment. It is widely acknowledged; the importance of environmental protection can't be ignored for the fact that we should make up the earth a good place to live on.
There are many ways to help reducing global warming. Walking is my preferring exercise, which I think is a good choice. If I had to go somewhere far away, I'll take the public transportations. Additional, I try to encourage friends and families to do the same. It's only when everyone does anything to help which we can hope to make a difference together.

Last Tuesday was a special day, the Earth Day. My classmates and I do a series of activities to arouse for the awareness of protecting our planet. I live in a very old town which is surrounding by beautiful woods. It is a famous beauty spot. In Sundays, hundreds of people come from the city to see our town and to walk through the woods. Visitors have asked to keep the woods clean and tidy. Litter baskets have been placed under the trees, and people still throw their rubbish everywhere. Last Wednesday, I go for a walk in the woods.
