A cosmetic company's quirky(古怪的) video advert has backfired with customer saying they will refuse to buy its products.
Purcotton, the Chinese company owned by Winner Medical Co., released the video on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. The video starts with a woman walking along and being followed by a man who face is covered. Looking concerned, the woman produces a Purcotton wet wipe and removes his makeup. When the man taps her shoulder, she turns out and a man's face is shown.
"What’s up, brother?” asks the woman, in a manly voice. Vomiting sounds and visual effects have been added.
More than 3,000 commented, mainly offended by how acceptable the video is, stated it’s appalling that they should normalize stalking(骚扰). A female Weibo user said it was really not funny that a woman’s looks were being made fun.
China Women’s News condemned Purcotton and comment that the video was full of bias, gender stereotypes and ignorance.
Purcotton has withdrawn the video and apologized for the discomfort caused to women, saying future advertising content will be strict examined.

In the past, people only printed books and magazine to read. However, in recent years, the way to reading has been changed greatly. Some paper books have replaced by e-books. More and more people prefer to read e-books in the computer.

Many people have strong view about the use of school uniforms. There are arguments both for or against it. On the one hand, uniforms stop other students judge them on how they look, as everybody will look more or less same. Besides, it saves parents’ money as they don’t have to buy for new school uniforms every year and their children only need clothes on weekends and holidays. On the other hand, though some parents said that wearing uniforms is a way of saving money, other say uniforms are not cheap. Children are constant growing up and need big sizes. In my opinion, wearing uniforms is a good thing because no one stand out and it looks smarter.
When asked about honesty, many people will surely say that honesty is very importance or it’s basic to a person. I think it’s great that every one of us has realized its importance.
However, it seemed that there are still some people not full aware of it. Once I went to the market with my mum for a big dinner in Saturday. When we were walking past the stalls, a loud noise was caught my attention. It came from a butcher’s stand, where a lady accused him of inject water(注水) into the pork and asked for the money back. And the butcher refused and even argued that it wouldn’t do harm her health.
We can also see being honest are easier said than done. I think we should plant honesty like a tree in our heart so that we won’t hesitate to be honest when they are in society. With it, we will be fully trusted and popular with others.

Our government is trying hard to build an energy-saving society. It is somebody’s duty to work hard and reach this goal. However, not everybody has realized the important of it. Take our school for example. Sometime we can see that lights and computers are still on after class. Some students even forget to turn off the tap after using it and have water running all the time. Our papers are primed on only one side, caused much waste. It’s time we did something to avoid this kind of waste.
