For many us, travelling to strange places and meeting new people can be difficulty. Jim Hawking, the young hero in Louis’ adventure novel Treasure Island, experienced the challenge.

At the start, Hawking is a shy boy which only knows the safety of his family home. Frightening by the old seaman Pew, Hawking runs to his mother with protection. Therefore, events force him to leave his home and start a adventure. As he meets new problems, we see off Hawkins start to think for himself, taking chances and make tough choices.

It was a rain and cold night. I finish my evening classes and was about to go back to my house. I got into a taxi and told the driver my destination. To my surprise, the driver made an apology, says he didn’t know the way. What come a taxi driver didn’t know the way? I was a little of angry. At the moment, an old couple stopped our car. Their destination was the same as me, so he let them in. The two greeted us but the grandpa told the driver the way. From their conversation I knew the driver was a farmer and he has been a taxi driver just for three days.

I’m also new to Zhengzhou. Sometimes I make direction mistakes, but there is always a person can help me. It was cold outside, but I felt real warm.

A Frenchman was once visiting London. He wished to take a walk to see a city. But he was afraid he might get being lost because he knew no words of English. There are plenty to be found. Mumbai is high built up and densely populated. And it is also full of rubbish, thus attracting rats. The rats, by turn, attract hungry snakes.

Nearly five years before, and with the help by our father, my sister and I planted some cherry tomatoes in our back garden. Since then—for all these years—we had been allowing tomatoes to self-seed where they please. As result, the plants are growing somewhere. The fruits are small in size, but juicy and taste. There are so much that we often share them with our neighbors. Although we allow tomato plant to grow in the same place year after year, but we have never had any diseases or insect attack problems. We are growing wonderfully tomatoes at no cost.

Though there are nearly 400 different types of sharks, but only about 30 types are known to have attacked human being. The most dangerous shark is great white shark. Contrarily to many people’s assumption, sharks seldom attack humans. There were 3 types of shark attacks.

To reduce the risk of a shark attack, you should follow the suggestions above: Firstly, do not swim in the dark. Secondly, do not swim if you have a fresh wound. Thirdly, do not wear bright clothing or jewellery. Final, try and stay into groups. Don’t panic, hit the shark on the nose and stick your finger in the shark’s eye unless a shark attacks you.

Don’t be frightened by sharks: you are 30 times much likely to be hit by lightening than be attacked by a shark.
