Time management. There are just 24 hours in each day. What you do with that time makes all the difference. While high-school students have an average of 35 hours per week of class time, college students have an average of 15 to 18 hours per week. Manage your free time wisely and you'll make full use of each day.
Good study habits. If you've got them, it's great. If not, there's still time to develop them. Good study habits include the following:
• Always be prepared for class, and attend classes regularly. No cutting!
• Finish homework in a timely manner.
• Review your notes daily rather than study for tests the night before.
• Set aside quiet time each day for study, even if you don't have homework or a test the next day!
Good note-taking. You can't possibly set down everything the teacher says since we talk at a pace of about 225 words per minute. But, you do need to set down the important material. Note-taking should be in a way that's the most helpful to you. You can try writing notes on different colored cards. If you really have a problem with note-taking, you might ask your teacher if you can record daily lessons. Do whatever it takes!
Review of daily notes. Don't wait until the night before the test to review your notes. Go over your notes each day while the lecture is still fresh in your mind. Add any missing pieces. Compare your notes with a classmate's notes. Review your notes each day to improve your learning and build towards your final goal: mastery of the subject or skill.

【推荐3】4 Apps to Enhance Distance Learning
Distance learning has become the new form of education since schools closed, and teachers have adapted – with the help of some truly amazing online applications.
Google Classroom
This popular application allows teachers to create online forums(论坛) to share courses, news, or lessons as well as a platform to assign, collect, and give feedback on student work. I’ve used Google Classroom for years, and it has become the cornerstone of my classroom throughout distance learning.
Google Forms
This application is often used to gather information in a variety of contexts(surveys, tests, etc.). Its test feature can be enabled to block users from opening other windows. It also offers auto-grading for multiple-choice tests. It has become a daily application in my classes during distance learning. I use it for pre-assessments, tests, and surveys.
Flipgrid
Flipgrid is a free online application that allows students and teachers to record short online videos. Teachers can easily create accounts and then within accounts create “classrooms.” From there, teachers can create posts for students to respond to via(通过) short videos.
Google Meet
Google Meet is an online meeting platform where teachers can share their screens with all participants to see as well as record the meeting. I’ve recorded all of my daily lessons and then posted the recordings to Google Classroom at the request of my students. This is a practice I’d like to continue even after distance learning as students really like the option to return to a recording of the day’s lesson to review it at their own pace.

Horseshoe Falls Niagara Falls, Ontario
Niagara Falls are the most famous waterfalls in Canada — and understandably so. Actually they are made up of three different falls, and the fittingly named Horseshoe Falls is the only one located on the Canadian side, which is the most powerful in North America. Multiple viewing options are available including tourist ships and sightseeing buses.
Nailicho (Nirginia Falls) Nahanni National Park Reserve, Northwest Territories
Coming in at twice the height of Niagara Falls, this massive waterfall is located on the South Nahanni River in the Northwest Territories. The remote location means it receives only about 1,000 visitors per year who must make their way by either boat or floatplane.
Takakkaw Falls — Yoho National Park, British Columbia
Takakkaw translated from Cree loosely means “the magnificent (壮丽的)”, and it’s a suitable word for the second-highest waterfall in Canada. After a steep drive up a winding road, Takakkaw Falls is only a short distance from the parking lot along a wheelchair accessible path.
Bridal Veil Falls — Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park, British Columbia
Pretty and delicate, Bridal Veil Falls is located just east of Chilliwack, British Columbia, and really does look like its name, with water gently pouring over smooth rock. An easy 15-minute walk to the waterfall takes you through rich leaves. Tables are available to have a meal outdoors, and there are lots of opportunities for viewing wildlife along the way.

Crace, as a relatively new community, has more playgrounds, parks and reserves than many other areas of similar size. They all offer something different to enjoy.
George Kemp Park
The park has the tiniest and cutest playground in Crace. It has a see-saw (跷跷板), a slide and climbing steps which are nicely arranged for little legs just learning to walk and climb.
Large trees provide some shade and there is a path which is perfect for beginner bike riders to practice their skills.
Duncan Dunbar Reserve
It is a small reserve that includes a playground with swings, a climbing area, a slide and a small pirate (海盗) ship themed play area. This park is great for little kids looking to graduate from small-sized equipment to something a bit more challenging. The area isn’t shaded and the surrounding grass reserve area can become muddy (泥泞的) after rain.
Crace Grasslands Nature Reserve
The area is a huge grassland reserve and is home to several endangered animals, including the Striped Legless Lizard, the Golden Sun Moth and the Perunga Grasshopper. There are grassy tracks throughout the reserve for walking and bird-watching. There is also a horse-riding track in the reserve’s northeast.
Crace Recreation Park
There is a large playground with equipment to suit both small and older kids including swings, slides and climbing facilities. The playground area has some shaded seating.
