Since 2018, Jason has been helping sick kids become superheroes. After watching his then one-year-old daughter Angela undergo chemotherapy (化疗), he came up with the idea of “Supertees”. Designed with a cape, the shirts act as a virtual armour (盔甲) for children fighting the worst villain of all- cancer.
“Sitting by her hospital bed I. knew there was nothing I could do to help Angela, until I noticed how hard it was to change her clothes while she was connected to various monitors. This is when the idea for the Supertee was born,” says Jason, whose daughter had a rare cancer then.
Created to look like a superhero costume, for Jason, the medical garments are all about enabling children to see themselves as the strong superheroes they idolise. “We want these kids to feel like, and be recognized as, the heroes that we see them as, “he tells.
Now Jason has teamed up with Disney to launch a new Marvel Edition tee. And he’s got some very “super” friends helping him out! Actors Larson and Chris have lent their support, sharing special video messages for the kids who receive a new Supertee modelled after their costumes.
The collaboration with Disney is special for Jason. “I promised I would take her to Disneyland the moment we could leave the hospital, “ says Jason, a pledge they happily fulfilled.
Since June 2018, Jason and his team have delivered more than 13, 000 Supertees to sick children in hospitals around Australia, including Melbourne schoolboy Riley Sinclair, who was diagnosed with a serious disease at just seven years old.
For Riley’s mum Tammy, the Supertee was a game changer for her son, now 11, helping him feel less afraid and making hospital visits more comfortable. “When Riley puts his tee on, his whole personality will change and he feels like he can face anything. It’s amazing!” explains Tammy.

Ezekiel’s pictures are painstakingly produced, using the movement of her eyes and specialized technology that relays those movements to a computer. The eye-tracking technology gives Ezekiel a platform for artistic expression, otherwise denied by her disease—amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS).
Ezekiel showed no signs of the condition until 2000, when she was aged 34. Pregnant with her second child, she noticed some weakness in her left arm and that she was unable to produce each word clearly. Within months, she was diagnosed with incurable ALS.
Ezekiel describes her first five years living with ALS as “very lonely”. Today, she can neither speak nor move but says “technology has made my life worth living”. She uses a system made by Tobii Dynavox, a company specializing in “Eye Gaze” devices that help people with medical conditions communicate. Its technology adopts projectors, cameras and algorithms to track the tiny movements of the user’s pupils and control a cursor on a screen.
To interview Ezekiel, CNN sent her questions and she prepared her answers letter by letter, using predictive text. The technology also lets her surf the net, shop online and use social media.
Ezekiel, who studied art when she was younger, began painting using the Eye Gaze device in 2012. Her first artwork. Peaceful Warrior, took its title from a book by Dan Millman. “It was originally supposed to illustrate despair, but the finished result had a totally different feel,” she recalls.
“Being an artist because of technology has totally improved my general attitude towards life and opened up many other possibilities for me,” says Ezekiel. I couldn’t create pictures for years and it’s fantastic that technology has made it possible again.

I found a pizza deliver flyer (传单) in my mailbox and decided to simply order a pizza as I might have the previous week in Manhattan. The phone call to Cali Pizza was easier than anticipated and while waiting for the pizza I set about unpacking.
Unfortunately, after 45 minutes no pizza. I figured that my “easy” call really wasn’t and that I would need to make alternate plans for dinner. While thinking about what to do next, my phone rang. It was Cali Pizza calling to say that they could not find my apartment based on the address that I had given them. Once it was determined that I had provided an incorrect address, the clerk on the phone asked me to describe what I could see from my window. After some back and forth they seemed satisfied that they knew where I was.
A few minutes later the pizza arrived. This is when my “customer delight” experience took over. First, the delivery person apologized repeatedly for being late, then he showed me the small blue metal plate on my building with the correct address and finally he refused to accept payment for the pizza because he was late. Net result: one delighted customer (me), and frequent orders from Cali Pizza during my two-year stay in Japan.
Such “customer delight” experiences become stories I have used to illustrate (阐明) what it means to truly delight a customer.

This is where Swann discovered a widespread issue—disabled individuals feeling uncomfortable using cups that looked like “sippy cups (吸管杯) for kids”. Due to sympathy and a desire to help, Swann came up with an answer. She made the first version of her disability-friendly mugs for her friend’s husband.
It was a double-handled mug that provided stability and had a design that didn’t sacrifice style. That was the start of what is now called “Digni-TEA” mugs from her Made with Mud business. Without fail, Swann was determined to make mugs that looked like everyday drinkware. She recognized that accessibility should not come at the cost of style. So she made a few different styles for everyone to use. Others had two oversized handles for easy use, a hold pinch for stability, and an uneven design for people who couldn’t tilt (倾斜) their heads back.
Swann’s decision to call her products “Digni-TEA” or “Dignity” mugs is more than just a choice of name. Her goal is to give people back their dignity so they can drink from a regular mug without worrying about medical help.
Swann’s decision to share her creations on social media made them more widely known. Swann wisely collaborated (合作) with a company in the East Midlands to meet the soaring demand for mass production. This step ensured a steady supply and allowed her to focus on what mattered most—the creative process.
The “Dignity Mugs” story is not just about a product; it’s a testament to the great influence one person can have in fostering (促进) a more compassionate and accessible society.

The Internet startup talent and restaurateur had just arrived in Jackson Hole from a conference where chef Jamie Oliver had spoken about the benefits of healthy eating. This was something Musk thought about a lot—how he might make a difference to the food industry—but beyond expanding his farm-to-table movement along with his restaurant, Musk hadn't yet broken the code. Then he went sailing down a snowy slope(坡) and fell over, breaking his neck. The left side of his body was paralyzed.
Musk eventually made a full recovery, but it involved spending two months on his back, which gave him plenty of time to come up with a plan. Since then, he has launched an initiative to put "learning gardens" in public schools across America; attracted Generation Z to the farming profession by changing shipping containers into high-tech, data-driven, year-round farms; and this year, is kicking off a new campaign to create one million at-home gardens.
Aimed at reaching low-income families, the Million Gardens Movement was inspired by the pandemic, as both a desire to feel more connected to nature and food insecurity have been at the forefront of so many people's lives. "We were getting a lot of inquiries about gardening from people that had never gardened before," says Musk. "People were looking to garden for a bunch of reasons: to supplement their budget, to improve the nutritional quality of their diets, or just to cure the boredom that came with the lockdown."
The program offers free garden kit s that can be grown indoors or outdoors, and will be distributed through schools that Musk's non-profit, Big Green, has already partnered with. It also offers free courses on how to get the garden growing and fresh seeds and materials for the changing growing seasons. "I grew up in the projects when I was young, in what we now call food deserts," says EVE, one of the many celebrities who have teamed up with the organization to encourage people to pick up a free garden. The Napa, California-based third-grader had just watched a news story about a kindergarten student in Indiana who was forced to return her school lunch because her account balance couldn’t cover the meal.
“Ryan was upset,” Kirkpatrick told TODAY Parents. “He said, ‘Mom, how does something like this happen?’ Then he asked what he could do to help.”
After a bit of brainstorming, Kyote—pronounced “coyote”—decided he would use six months’ worth of allowance he had saved up to pay off the lunch debt of his entire class at West Park Elementary School. The bill came up to $74.50.
Though Kyote had been eyeballing a new pair of basketball sneakers, this was far more important to him. So, on May 24, he happily donated his six months of savings to the Napa Valley Unified School District food services department.
“Ryan told them, ‘Please let my friends know that they no longer owe any money,’” Kirkpatrick recalled. “Lunch is his favorite part of the day and it broke his heart to think that it’s a stressful time for some children.”
The fourth-grader-to-be wanted his act of kindness to be unknown to others, but his proud mother couldn’t resist sharing a photo on Twitter, where it spread quickly.
“Give this kid his money back. No child should be covering lunch debt for his class with his allowance,” wrote one person. Added another: “Love this story... Special kid.”
Practicing good deeds is nothing new for Kyote. “I’ll go into the garage and Ryan’s bike is missing because he gave it to a friend in need,” Kirkpatrick, a sign-language interpreter, told TODAY Parents. “One time, a friend didn’t have any shoes that fit, so Ryan gave him a pair of his own shoes.”
Recently, an investor got wind of what Kyote had done for his classmates and he contacted Kirkpatrick. “He wanted to give Ryan money to put in his savings account,” she said.
Kyote, who recently lost his father to ALS, had another idea.
“Ryan told the man to pay it forward,” Kirkpatrick said. “So he made a donation to the ALS Association. I can’t even begin to tell you what that meant to Ryan. All he wants is to make the world a better place.”

He told her that he did not know. Galaxy decided to help them. She had learned the sign language when she served as a volunteer in the deaf and mute(聋哑) school. Then she showed the woman the direction and left her email address to them in case they needed her help later.

“I am, too,” Nyota replied, looking at the track in front of her. Nyota had fallen and fractured her wrist the previous week while training for the long jump, so she was volunteering to sell refreshments instead of competing along with her teammates.
Nyota wished Lily good luck and watched her friend run over to the track as spectators started to arrive. Nyota knew she should head over to the stand, but she kept staring at the place where she had fallen. “What’s the point of being here?” Nyota thought to herself.
