Hi! I want to tell you something about my life.

In school we mustn’t arrive late for class. We can’t use phones or eat in class but we can read magazines(杂志) after class.

I can speak German and French but I can’t speak Spanish. I like our French teacher, Mr. Smith. His classes are interesting. I like singing French songs. Mrs. Blumen, my German teacher, is strict. We are afraid of her. We must speak German in class, and we can’t use a dictionary or ask for help.

Are your parents strict? My parents are really nice. I can eat in my bedroom but I must keep my room tidy. I can listen to music but I can’t do it at night. I can watch TV before 9 p. m. during the week. I can invite(邀请) my friends to my home on weekends and we often eat in a nice restaurant(餐馆) near my home.

When we buy a house, we all want to have nice neighbors because most of us think that it is helpful to live with some good neighbors. But what kind of neighbor is good? The answers are different from people to people. Here are my answers.

First, it is very important to respect (尊敬) each other. If our neighbors try to know more about our life, how will we feel? He or she may also talk with others about our life. Do you want to live with him or her any more? The answer is No. We will feel very annoyed to have this kind of neighbors and move away quickly. Next, a good neighbor is always ready to give us a hand when we need him or her. For example, if we are not at home, our good neighbors will watch house for us. Finally, a good neighbor should love the environment (环境). He or she never throws rubbish everywhere and this makes us comfortable (舒适) and happy.

I think we all should learn to be good neighbors, and I hope everyone can have good neighbors and live a happy life.

Jon Matson is a postman. He loves being out in the fresh air and meeting people. He makes friends with many of his customers(顾客) and enjoys talking with them while he is working.

However, when COVID-19 began, Jon’s life and work changed a lot. He still saw his customers, but he had to talk with them from a safe social distance(社交距离). He felt sad.

One day, Jon found some cool Halloween costumes(万圣节服装) in his house. He asked his boss if he could wear them to work. He wanted to try to “send” smiles to people.

The boss agreed (同意). And people smiled happily when they saw Jon in his costume. The next day, he dressed up as a Trojan soldier(特洛伊士兵)and everyone loved it. Some people even waited by their windows and doors to see him. “So many people would like to see me,” said the postman. “I think I love my job more than before!”
