Colors can affect (影响) our feelings, so knowing something about the colors can help us find the right colors in our homes.

It’s easy to see red in Chinese rooms. It’s our favorite color. It means happiness and luck. But if your bedroom is also red, you may not sleep well. It is an active color and makes us want to do sports.

Orange is a good color for the rooms where people usually eat. People like eating together and talking to each other in an orange room.

If you are a student, ask your parents to color your study (书房) yellow. Yellow can make you think faster and more carefully. You may be more confident (自信的) about yourself.

You may know most of the walls in the hospitals are blue. Why? Because blue can make sick (生病的) people feel relaxed. They can have a good sleep and be better soon. So use it in your bedroom and you can have a nice sleep, too.

The year 2023 is a big year for sports in China because of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou (杭州亚运会). Hangzhou is the third Chinese city to have the Asian Games after Beijing and Guangzhou in 1990 and 2010.

Who is your favorite sports star in the Asian Games? Different people have different ideas. Let me tell you my favorite star. Her name is Quan Hongchan. Quan is a young but great diver (跳水运动员). She is only sixteen year old and she is from Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province (省).

When she was only seven years old, she began diving. In 2021, she won her first gold medal (金牌) at the Tokyo Olympics (东京奥运会). In 2023, Quan won two gold medals in the Hangzhou Asian Games. She is so great that many people call her “diving talent” (天才). She has short black hair and always smiles. She doesn’t look strong, but she has great power (能量) in her body.

For Quan, hard work is the only way to success (成功). Usually, she begins diving at 7 o’clock in the morning, and she goes to bed at about 11 o’clock at night. She knows that “No pain,no gain. ”

After diving, she likes playing with dolls of turtle (乌龟玩偶) best. She often says, “Turtles are not only very cute, but also always keep walking.” So during the Asian Games, many people gave Quan lovely turtle dolls because they wanted to show their love to her.

People can’t live without food. Good eating habits can make you strong, healthy and happy, but not all food is good for your health.     12    

●Drink some water after you get up in the morning every day. It can help you clean your body and make you feel fresh (清爽的).

●     13     And you also need to drink some milk. They help you keep healthy in different ways. But don’t eat too much fast food, like hamburgers and hot dogs.

●Don’t eat too much for three meals. It is not good for your stomach (胃) because all the food goes into it first. If you eat too much, you can be fat, too.

●Don’t always skip (跳过) your breakfast.     14     It gives you a good beginning (开端) of the day.

    15     They know what is the best for you. Remember you can do nothing without a healthy body.

Many students in China have more time to sleep and to do the things they like because of the Double Reduction Policy (双减政策). Many students go to bed earlier than before. How about you? When do you go to bed every night?

But some     31     (student) don’t want to go to bed early. In the evening, they like     32     (play) computer games. A survey (调查) shows that many students can’t get nine hours of sleep every night. They often feel sleepy (困倦的) at school     33     they don’t have enough (足够的) sleep at home.

In England, with many teachers’ help, some schools have     34     new subject called sleep. Mountaintop School is the     35     (five) school to have this subject. The teachers there teach students how to sleep     36     (good). Many students like it. They think it’s good for     37     (they) health and study.
