Robots serving people isn’t a dream any more. If you visit Liu Hasheng’s restaurant in Harbin, you will find 18 robots there. In Singapore, many middle school students spend a lot of time on their studies. People think good schooling is a ticket to success in their future, so, many of these students try their best to get good marks in their exams. They have a lot of schoolwork every day and exams are usually difficult. Sometimes, some of them have to go to remedial (补习的) classes after school.

There are many after-school activities: sports and games, music and dance, hiking and rock-climbing, etc. They are also very happy to do community service (社区服务).

In their personal time, most students like to listen to pop music. Hollywood blockbusters (好莱坞大片), Hong Kong and Singapore movies are very popular among them. Some of them also spend their free time surfing the Internet, e-mailing their friends and playing computer games. They sometimes go to cafes, fast-food restaurants, shopping centers and big bookstores, so, it looks like the life as a middle school student in Singapore is not easy but it is rich and colorful.

Why did Trung open the library? He loves reading and learning languages. He bought lots of books when he was in Germany. After coming back to Vietnam, Trung found that English books in Vietnam were either scarce (缺乏的) or very expensive. And many parents did not know which book would be right for their children.     19     Trung had a lot of books, so he decided to open a free library. He wanted to help children love reading and learn foreign languages.

    20     Trung believes creating (创造) a real environment will help children learn foreign languages easily. So he made a rule: at Mia Bookhouse, everyone must speak English or other foreign languages.

    21     They help young readers pick out books, read, and play games with them so that they can practice their reading, listening and speaking skills (技能).

In the future, Trung plans to buy more interesting books. Also, he expects that there will be more libraries like Mia Bookhouse in Vietnam.

Walt Disney was born (出生) in 1901. He     37     up on a farm. At the age of 16, Disney began to study art. His greatest wish was to become a famous     38    .
