ChatGPT comes. In two months after its showing up in November, 2022, it soon got about 100 million users. It is a smart AI chat bot (人工智能聊天机器人) that can answer just about any question you have. It was developed by Open AI in America. And it is developing quickly.

What can ChatGPT do? Here are some examples.

With its development, it also brings new problems. People begin to worry about the influence ChatGPT may have on education after seeing what Elon Musk, one of the creators of ChatGPT said.

And some universities and schools in the world wouldn’t allow their students to use ChatGPT to finish their homework.

ChatGPT questions, it may spread wrong information to them.

To deal with these problems, the CEO of Open AI recently said they were working on technology that can identify (识别) cheating in exams.

Chopsticks are a pair of sticks to be used when eating. They were first used in China. Chopsticks have been made from many materials (材料). Bamboo is the most popular. There is lots of it in Asia and it is easy to break and heat. Other materials included wood and bone (骨头). Chopsticks made of silver were common among the rich. The kings used such chopsticks, as it was believed that they would turn black if the food could make people die at once.

In fact, before the invention of chopsticks, Chinese used hands to eat, but how did they eat soup? They had to use sticks. Chinese people started to use chopsticks during the Shang Dynasty (朝). During the pre-Qin period, chopsticks were called “Jia”, and in the Qin and Han dynasties, they were called “Zhu”. By the Ming Dynasty, people began to call them “Kuai”. So we call Chinese chopsticks “Kuai Zi” today.

We are not sure who invented chopsticks, but there are many folk stories about them. One is that Jiang Ziya was pushed to create chopsticks by a special bird that didn’t want him to have the meat. Another one is that Daji, the favorite woman of the King Zhou of Shang, invented chopsticks in order to make the king happy. It is also said that Dayu used sticks to pick up hot food in order to save time to control floods (洪水), so chopsticks formed.

Are you an “I” person or an “E” person? We hear this question a lot these days.     36     So what is the MBTI test? It’s a personality (人格) test that helps us better understand our personality preferences (偏好). It was developed in the 1940s. When you take the MBTI test, you are provided with several sets of questions.     37     For each question, you need to choose the answer that best matched you. Then you’ll know what your personality type is.

    38     First, people want to understand themselves. It’s hard to say human personality, but this test provides a simple way for people to learn about themselves. Next, taking the MBTI test is both relaxing and enjoyable, because its questions are really interesting.     39     The MBTI test offers a way to connect with others deeply. Last but not least, though there are many kinds of personality tests on the market, the MBTI test is the most believable.

The MBTI test may show something we don’t know about ourselves and can be a fun way to help us make new friends. But knowing someone’s MBTI results doesn’t mean we really know that person.     40

In fact, sugar-free drinks have some sugar, although very little. Usually, if there is 0.5 grams (克) of sugar or less in a 100-gram drink, it can be described as a sugar-free drink. Although they have little sugar, sugar-free drinks still taste sweet because they use artificial sweeteners (人工甜味剂). But they have very few calories.

When we eat sweet-tasting things like sugar, they hit our brain and make us want more. Our brain tells our body to prepare itself for more sugar. When we drink a sugar-free drink, the brain receives the “sweet message”, but no sugar arrives. Since the brain is fooled, it still wants more sweets.

Some people drink sugar-free drinks instead of water. This is not a good choice. Sugar-free drinks can be bad for our teeth and influence our appetite (食欲).

Every year from May to August on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (青藏高原), Tibetan antelopes (藏羚羊) go far to have their babies.

Their trip is hard. They have to cross railways and roads. Some die because of accidents (事故). To make their trip easier, people have made “wildlife corridors (走廊)”. A wildlife corridor can be natural or man-made. If railways or roads get in the animals’ way, they can still move freely and safely through the corridor.

To work with animals’ habits, corridors around the world are different. Tibetan antelopes are careful about dangers around them. So, China has made corridors under highways or railways. The corridors are big. Antelopes can easily look around when they pass through. In Europe, there are small and dark tunnels (隧道) for small animals, like mice. In the US, people make bridges between trees for animals that like climbing.

Just give them a little more space. They can have a good chance to live well with us humans. So you can see, it is not hard to do that.
