Yang Liu, 24, is an inheritor (传承人) of bamboo drifting. She started to learn it from her grandmother when she was 7. As she was weak in health as a child, her grandmother wanted her to get into better shape through this sport. Yang threw herself into practicing bamboo drifting all year round, even in the winter cold and summer heat.
“It was common for me to fall into the water when I started practicing,” recalled Yang, adding that it took her three years to learn the basic skills of bamboo drifting.
In order to acquire more bamboo drifting skills, Yang had to practice countless difficult movements on a bamboo pole that was 9m in length and 15 cm in diameter(直径), and stand all the physical pain that came with it. Through years of hard training, Yang now considers the bamboo pole as her “best friend”.
At one point, inspired by her grandmother, Yang began to combine dance with bamboo drifting. “My grandmother came up with an idea. She said that I had been practicing bamboo drifting since I was a child, so why not try to combine dance with the skill? It might be something different,” the young woman explained.

Recently, many schools have set up after-school classes for students. It comes after the “double reduction (双减)” policy. The policy is to alleviate the stress from homework for students. The policy lists requirements such as cutting down the amount and reducing the degree of difficulty of homework, as well as improving education and after-school services. For example, homework for junior high school students should take no longer than 90 minutes to finish. It allows students to have more free time to take up their hobbies and interests.
“Our homework is clearly less than before,” said Shen Yuzhe from Beijing. “We are not encouraged to buy exercise books anymore. The exercises are mainly from the textbook.” According to Shen, teachers have taught at a slow speed, which gives students enough time to think about new information.
The Ministry of Education (教育部) reported on the progress made through the policy so far. Almost all primary and middle schools now offer two-hour after-school services on weekdays. More than 90% of students can finish their written homework in the set time. About 92.7% of schools have offered after-school art and sports classes.
“With homework done at school, my child and I can read books and listen to music together in the evening. We can also go out to play badminton,” said Lu Di, the parent of a fifth-grader.

Now I'm sad because people put waste and garbage into us,which kills many animals and plants that drink our water. People drink this kind of water and get sick too.

Usually, your body will tell you when you are angry.
