Some people will tell you to keep a distance from them. They might think that these beggars are trying to cheat people-they might be as healthy as you are and they might actually have expensive cars or large houses. Some even say that they work for some kind of criminal organization—they don’t keep the money for themselves, but hand it in to the organization. And unfortunately, these people are sometimes correct.

However, I think it’s better to think more optimistically（乐观地）.Will it really matter to help them in some small way? You never know what they might have been through. In life, we mainly listen to our heads when we’re trying to find out what we should do. But sometimes’ it is just as important to listen to our hearts as well.
