Birds are the only animals that have feathers. Feathers are the coat a bird wears on its body, just like the hair most of other kinds of animals wear on their bodies. We, human beings, don’t depend on feathers or hair to keep us warm, as birds and animals do, we have our clothes. The feathers and shapes of the birds help us to tell one kind from another. Feathers come in beautiful colors.

Besides feathers, birds can have good voices and are good at singing. Many birds. such as the robin, sing to send messages to other birds. Each type of songbird has its own song. In 1927, a Japanese doctor found that people with different blood types have different personalities, too. He said that people with type A blood are usually calm and serious; people with type B blood are cheerful and outgoing; people with type O blood are generous(慷慨的) and honest; while those with type AB blood are often caring and creative.
Later on, a doctor in the United States wrote a book. That connects(联系) blood types with what people eat. The book suggests people with type O blood should eat more meat and less bread. A diet for people with type A blood has more vegetables. His book, Eat Right for Your Type, has been a hit with people who want to lose weight. However, Dr. Peter D’Adamo believes that eating food that matches a person’s blood type will make the person healthier.

On March 30,2019, Shanghai vice-mayor (副市长) Wu Qing made the first 5g video call on the Huawei Mate X Smartphone. Shanghai has also become the first city in our country to start testing 5G networks.
More and more people started to learn about 5G because it has many advantages.
5G will let people download and upload the data (上传数据) faster than before.
People can use it for many other things as well. For example, 5G will help to make self-driving cars safer. Today’s self-driving test cars take time to send the information and the receiving instructions. They can’t react (反应) in time. With the help of 5G, this can be greatly improved.
People could also use 5G to power the Internet of Things (IOT物联网). It’s a large online network that connects all things and people. Fast Internet speed will be the key to developing this technology.

In China, even in the world, Huawei is a wonder. Ren Zhengfei set up Huawei Company in 1987. After more than 30 years of development, the company has become the world’s second largest maker of smartphones behind Korea’s Samsung. It has also become the world’s largest supplier(供应商)of 5G.
But recently, Huawei faced some difficulties. The U.S. government ordered a ban(禁令)on its sales in America. American officials said Huawei gave information that it collected to the Chinese government. At the same time, the U.S. government planned to stop selling parts and services to Huawei, which was believed that Huawei’s business would be hurt.
“We have never received such a request from the Chinese government and we have never tried to get into other systems to collect information.” Ren Zhengfei, Huawei’s founder and president said. “The ban from the U. S. would have little effect on our company. Huawei has enough ability to deal with the problems.” Ren added.
In an interview several years ago, Ren Zhengfei said, “I started Huawei with only £400 at the beginning but now it has become a $100 billion company. The experience was not as romantic(浪漫的) as you imagine.”
Facing the ban of the U.S., Huawei is growing. Huawei’s smartphone sales around the world rose 50 percent compared to a year earlier in the first three months of 2019. It may beat Samsung as the largest smartphone maker in the near future.

The idea of a smart city was first suggested by a tech company, IBM in 2010. A smart city is a city that uses digital (电子的) technology, like 5G networks, to save money, resources (资源) and make our lives more convenient.
Cities like Boston and Amsterdam are already using smart technology to improve public services. In Boston, smart trash bins (垃圾箱) can be seen everywhere. When the trash bins are almost full, they can ring loudly to remind cleaners to clean them.
Smart cities will allow us to save resources. Computers and 5G networks help check water, gas pipes. In this way, they could easily remind workers to repair them when there is a leak (泄露) in.
Of course, it will take time to build the smart cities of the future. But since we’ve already seen successful examples, it won’t be long until more cities join in. By 2050, about 60% of people will live in smart cities.
