Hi, I am Mary. I am a middle school student. My school is a very beautiful place. There is a big library with books of all subjects in my school. There are a lot of storybooks and newspapers in the library too. It is in the classroom building.
In the library, there are rows of tables and chairs. It looks very clean. And it’s easy for students to find books. We can sit there to read books or borrow books from it. We can take two or five books at a time and we must give back the books in seven days.
Our library teacher is a nice woman. She is friendly to all students. We all like her. She always helps us find books. When we ask her some questions about book, she is happy to answer.
I like reading books. Every day I go to the library to read books. I love to visit my school library. It’s a good place to read and study.

As you start reading a book, poem, or story, do it with no thought at all and the experience will make your writing better. Just read for pleasure to begin with, not to learn. As you progress through his work, think about whether or not it is “easy” reading. Do you become so interested in the subject and flow of the writing that you completely forget the person who wrote it, or does the article sometimes call too much attention to itself through words and sentences that seem out of place or unexpected? These latter(后者) situations are a chance to learn from the writer’s mistakes. In fact, the reader should not have to worry about how a writer does “his thing”... He should be able to just enjoy and learn. Every time you think of a wrong or improper word, stop to think about why it has this effect(影响). Also, do not spend a lot of time analyzing(分析) the passage but enjoy it from the whole.
Another thing I do, especially with nonfiction(非小说) books, is to choose a part to read as if it is a completely separate work. Once again, read as a common consumer(消费者) , but not a critic(批评家). For learning how words and phraseswork together on the most basic level(水平), however, nothing is more suitable than your devotion to reading poems. A poet is often trying to put a book’s worth of meaning and feelings into lines, and every side of the work shows a very closeattention to craft(工艺).
As you can see, there is no one simple way of reading to get your writing improved. The key is not to make it boring. Choose writers you admire or like most, and enjoy their works as anyone else would. As long as(只要) you are reading, you are improving yourself as a writer.

Although many people read online, books have not gone out of fashion. In Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, lucky passengers may find books somewhere on the underground.
The Fair, an online publishing company, has put 10,000 books on the underground, planes and taxis to make people more interested in reading. This project is called “Mobook”.
“Mobook” gets its idea from “Books on the Underground”, a community project in London. The purpose of “Books on the Underground” is to encourage people to read more. Zhang Wei, the CEO of the Fair also wanted to do something in China. He sent an e-mail to Ms Cordelia Oxley, the leader of “Books on the Underground”, describing his plan and explaining the rules of “Mobook”. The leader replied to him in just two hours, saying that she thought the idea was great and she would offer help if needed.
But “Mobook” project is a little different from that in London. It has its own online system. People who want to donate books must give their information online. QR code stickers (二维码标签) are then sent to their addresses. The book owners should stick them on the books before donating books and reader can know where the books are from with the help of QR codes.
“Mobook” is a hot topic. Now thousands of bookworms have already taken part in the project. Zhang Wei said, “I am happy to see more and more people share their views (观点) about the books online and enjoy the happiness that reading brings to them.”

“Take a book, return a book.” That’s the Little Free Library’s philosophy(哲学). Then what is a Little Free Library? Unlike traditional libraries, it is not a building to check out books from a librarian(图书管理员). Little Free Libraries come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common one is a small wooden box of books. When you find one, you can take a book home with you. If you have a book to share, you can leave it for someone else to read. Little Free Libraries are everywhere: outside homes, inside shopping centers, beside coffee shops. The first Little Free Library was built by Todd Bol in front of his home in Wisconsin, USA in 2009. It held free books anyone could enjoy. It became popular. Three years after building his library, Bol and his friend Rick Brooks started Little Free Library, a non-profit(非营利)organization. Soon, Little Free Libraries began more popular all over the place. Now there are more than 80, 000 Little Free Libraries in more than 90 countries. Umayr Ansari, a 10-year-old boy from Doha, Qatar, put a Little Free Library outside his home. He said, “There weren’t many libraries in my neighborhood. I had a lot of books, and I wanted to share them so people who didn’t have their own books could have a chance to read.” Why not build your own Little Free Library and share the fun of reading? |

But talking to the parents may be difficult or terrible—especially when it comes to certain subjects. Here are some suggestions (建议) to make it easier.
Talk about everyday life and do it every day. The more you do something, the easier it gets. Talking to parents about everyday life can help you discuss something more serious with them later.
Find something to chat (聊天) about each day. Talk about how your team did at the sports meet. Share something one of your teachers said. Even small talk about what’s for dinner can keep your relationship comfortable.
It’s never too late to start. If your relationship with your parents makes you feel nervous, try getting into conversations slowly. Tell them the cute thing the dog did. Talk about how well your little sister is doing in math. Chatting with parents every day not only keeps the present relationship strong, it also can help a might-be-worse relationship get better.
When parents feel connected (连接) to your daily life, they can be there for you if something really important happens.

They make our lives more pleasant and give us a sense of who we are, both as an individual and as a member of the community. Here’s how to develop your relationships with these very important people in your life.
Start a conversation. Often neighbors don’t even know each other’s names. However, most neighbors enjoy making small talk with each other in their community. You can ask how their kids are or what they think of the prices at the supermarket. But the best way to break the ice is to smile, wave and say hello to your neighbors.
Be friendly to the newcomers. Your new neighbors may be feeling lonely, especially if they’re far from home, and might expect a friendly face. If they have kids, give them your phone number, and point to your house as you say good-bye.
Develop better relationships. Return anything that you borrow from a neighbor, such as tools, in good repair and as soon as you’ve finished with them. Make sure that your car is not blocking their doorway. Such small actions will help you build up a good relationship with your neighbors.
Make time for your friendship. If you value a friendship with your neighbors, spend time with them. Why not invite them to a barbecue or weekend party? You can write a card to invite them to your party. Then, you can make a call to them ahead. In this way, you will know what your neighbors like. You can plan for proper food and music.
Care about the details. In a good relationship, it’s really the little things that count. When your neighbors carry a lot of things, you can give them a hand. Help to bring in the mail for the elderly neighbor when it rains. If you care about them, too. The respect for your neighbors feelings can develop your relationship with them.

On June 5th, China launched (发射) the three-person Shenzhou XIV, which is the third crew (乘组) for the country’s space station project. The astronauts will work with the ground team to finish the building of the Tiangong Space Station. The crew arrived at Tiangong on Sunday afternoon.
Liu Yang, the first Chinese woman in outer space, said on Saturday in Jiuquan, that she and two other astronauts—Chen Dong and Cai Xuzhe—would be very busy during their stay, and they were going to do their job while Tiangong Space Station was changing its shape. With the help of the ground team, it would change itself nine times.
At the same time, the astronauts would also need to prepare for the arrival of the Shenzhou XV crew and Tianzhou 5 ship near the end of their journey, Liu added.
“In addition, we will use a new hatch (舱门) and a new small robotic arm to do spacewalks. We will perform a large number of scientific experiments and also offer educational activities for pupils online,” she said. “This is also the first time that Chinese astronauts will celebrate our National Day in space.”
In an interview with China Central Television before they flew to the space, Liu said she had talked to her daughter and son about her six-month trip.
“I explained why their mom needed to take part in this great project and why I would be away from home for half a year. I also told them what, they needed to do during this period of time. At first, they were not so happy about my leaving, but they finally said later that they understood,” she said.
“They told me that they wanted me to take as many pictures as possible so they could share the beauty of space with their classmates.”
