Welcome to Florida, people usually call it the “Sunshine State”. If you like warm weather, Florida is the best place for a vacation. Millions of visitors come to Florida each year. They like its sandy beaches, theme parks and natural beauty.

Miami is a big tourist city. People love its beautiful beaches. There are many coconut palm trees along the street and beaches in Miami. They are very pretty. But they are also dangerous! People have jobs as coconut watchers. They make sure that coconuts do not fall on the tourists’ heads!

Florida is famous for its theme parks. The world’s largest theme park is Walt Disney World near Orlando. A train takes people around Disney World. One part, called EPCOT Center, is all about the future. You can see life, food, and transportation in the future.

Millions of tourists come to Florida for a holiday. But many people come to Florida to live, too. Many older people from cold states come to relax in the Florida sunshine. But young people come to Florida, too. Florida has many new kinds of jobs. Florida has something for everyone.

Saturday

After two flights, I finally arrived in Delhi. 1.________ It didn’t take long, and I was soon driving through the streets to my small hotel. The owner was really kind and friendly. 2.________ It was very clean and comfortable. I was really tired, so I fell asleep quickly.

Sunday

I got up at about 8 o’clock and went down for breakfast. Then, I went out into Delhi. I found a taxi and went to my first tourist spot: the Shri Lakshmi Narain Temple. 3.________ Inside, I found a guide and learned a lot about the history of the beautiful building. After this, I went to Raj Gbat. This is the last resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. The gardens were very green and there were lots of trees, but the fountains (喷泉) were dry because of the heat. After this I was very tired and hot 4.________ Later, when I felt better, I went for dinner at a restaurant. I think I’ll stay in Delhi for a few days. Then I’ll probably fly to Varanasi. It’s a very famous historical place. I’ll let you know what it’s like!

I am Li Hua. Last Friday, our class went to Xiangshan for a trip. Though the weather was a little cold, it was sunny.

At six in the morning we met at the school gate. We took a bus there. On the bus, our monitor told us an interesting story. The story was about an interesting man. Then three girls in our class sang songs. We were very happy.

At about seven thirty we got there. It was a beautiful mountain. There were many visitors. Then we started to climb the mountain. The boys had a climbing race. Jin Wei won first prize. He got a blue hat. At about nine o’clock we met a famous singer. Qi Hui and Ma Yan even got his autographs(亲笔签名). They were very excited.

We had lunch in the mountain. We brought food from home and ate together.

After lunch we went to the zoo, because there was a new member(成员) in the zoo. It was an elephant. It came from Africa.

Finally, we took the bus back to school. Though we were tired, we were really happy.

When a woman took the seat beside me on a plane, I felt uncomfortable. She had to lower herself slowly, trying her best to fit into the small space.

“My name is Kelly. I’m from Canada. Where are you from?” She said as she waved to me. “China,” I said as I shook her hand reluctantly (不情愿地).

Kelly kept talking to me. She was very thoughtful. When we were served drinks and meals, she made sure that I had enough room in my seat.

“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable with my elephant size!” she said sincerely. I couldn’t help but let down my guard.

As we talked, I was surprised by what she said. She had read many books and was very smart. I asked her if she ever thought about losing some weight.(减肥)

“Aren’t you worried about the diseases that come with being overweight (超重) ?”

“Not at all. I eat healthy and walk regularly,” she said. “I believe in my heart, the people who get diseases are because they worry too much. But I never worry about my weight. I am free to be myself. As the saying goes: You’re free only if you’re comfortable with who you are!”

I suddenly realized that Kelly was the most beautiful and cleverest woman I had ever met in my life.

【推荐3】Have you ever been to Thailand? It is a country in Southeast Asia. I’ve been in Thailand for a few days with my parents. We are here for a holiday. Now we are staying in Bangkok (曼谷). It is the capital of Thailand and it is a very interesting place to visit. Yesterday we visited some places of interest in the city. They are great! This morning we went shopping.

Bangkok is ________ (曼谷是绝妙的购物的地方) for jewelry (珠宝) and clothes. My mother bought a nice necklace (项链). My father and I bought some fashionable T-shirts.

Thailand is called “Land of Smiles” because people here are very friendly. And it’s true! When we eat in the restaurants in Bangkok, the waiters are really nice and they are always smiling. Thai food is delicious, but it is sometimes a little spicy for me. You can also get Chinese food here because a lot of Chinese people came to live in Bangkok many years ago. Chinese food is very good, and it isn’t as spicy as Thai food. Our American food can also be found in Bangkok, however, I don’t eat it. You know, I’d like to try new things when I travel.

The weather has been very hot. Yesterday it rained and got a little cooler. But today it’s hot again.
