Technology will help us know more information. But some news is not always useful for us. We should find out whether it is necessary to read. And that’s why I think schools should offer media literacy(媒体素养)courses.

Media literacy is the ability to read and think about the information critically(批评地). It depends mostly on people’s life values. And it’s important in both life and study. Unluckily, it is a skill that many people don’t seem to have. In 2016, an unreal story about a woman who won the lottery(彩票)was shared more than 1.77 million times on social media. Wrong information can be spread far and widely when people lack(缺乏)media literacy.

However, there are some ways to solve this problem. If kids are taught media literacy in schools, they will master the skills. Many of these skills are simple, for example, being able to look through a news website and quickly tell whether it is right or not.

The future of the media will only get more crowded as time goes by. So it is important for kids to learn these skills. Learning to separate facts from much information will help kids properly receive the information as they grow up and learn more about the world.

1. Why should schools offer media literacy courses?
A.Because the news is not always right or useful.B.Because the news is hard to understand.
C.Because there is too much information.D.Because the news is very boring.

3. According to the text, wrong information can be spread far and widely when people ________.
A.have no moneyB.lack media literacy
C.don’t like the topicD.have different opinions
4. How is Paragraph 3 mainly developed?
A.By listing numbers.B.By giving reasons.
C.By giving examples.D.By asking a question.

A.A guidebook.B.A sports newspaper.
C.A story book.D.An education magazine.

文章大意:本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了青春期如何与父母相处得更好。

【推荐1】What is adolescence (青春期)? It starts when you are aged between about ten and thirteen.     1     You may not want to spend as much time with your parents as you used to. You want more freedom to choose who you see and when you see. In the past, your parents made decisions for you. But now you want to decide things for yourself and don’t want to be told what to do all the time.

All these changes are perfectly normal.     2     So what can you do to make life easier and get on well with your parents?

Firstly, your parents will feel much better if you let them know that you still love and value them.     3     They may not say so, but they are probably feeling a sense of loss and may even feel be rejected (拒绝) by you. So try to express your love to them from time to time.

4     You may feel these rules are unnecessary, but your parents’ main concern is often just to keep you safe. Once you have agreed with the rules, try to stick to them.

Thirdly, try to understand why they might be irritated (生气) by your behaviour. Do your parents get cross if you spend three hours chatting with friends on social media and leave your homework till the last minute?     5

Finally, it’s all about communication! Keep talking to your parents, tell them about what you did today, let them know where you are going, and ask for advice if you need.
