Beijing Half-day Tour

Guide: We have more than 20 guides and they can speak both English and Chinese.

Time and Place: Our bus will wait for you at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. And we’ll drive you back to your hotel at about 1:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.

Route (行程): First, we will visit the Drum Tower. You can climb it and look at the old Beijing buildings—hutong and siheyuan. Then we will drive to Mr. Kang’s yard (庭院) for a cup of tea. After that, we can ride a bicycle to Dajinsi Hutong, the most famous hutong in the Shichahai area. Then we will walk to the Prince Gong’s Mansion (恭王府). After that, we will go back to the hotel.

My uncle works in Tibet (西藏). Last summer, I took a train to visit him. There I saw lots of tall and clean mountains. Many people there are good at singing and dancing. I have a great time there.

Last summer, my family went to Beihai. The weather was sunny and hot. We went swimming and boating. They were exciting. Later, we ate some seafood. It was very delicious.

I went to Xi’an with my cousin. We visited the Terracotta Army and had a great time. We ate delicious food, too. Xi’an is a big and nice city. I like it a lot.

My parents took me to Hong Kong by plane. We went to Disneyland. It’s just like a fairy tale kingdom. And we bought many special things. Most of them weren’t expensive at all. I like this trip very much.

A Guide to the School Library

To fully use the school library, please read the given information on the desk.

Introduction to Each Floor of the Library

Students and teachers can use these rooms for group study. Students are supposed to use unlocked rooms for free.

These rooms can only be used by teachers and graduated students. Please book them one day in advance (提前). The total number of seats is 40.

These rooms are used to have classes, discussion meetings and so on. The total number of seats is 88. Only teachers can apply(申请) to use the computer rooms and book them one day in advance.

Rules

Each student can borrow one or two books at a time. More books can be borrowed only for class reading activities and school researches.

Books borrowed from the library can be kept for 15 school days. The books must be returned before the last day.

When a book is returned in a damaged condition, you will have to pay three dollars for the damage. Full price must be paid if a book is lost. We advise students to carry their library books in plastic bags to protect them from rainy weather.
