If customers come in and just say “desi chai”, they will pay £5 for one cup. If they say “desi chai, please”, they’ll get the drink for £3. Better still, if they say “Hello, desi chai, please”, the drink will only cost £1. 9.

Usman Hussain, the owner of the shop, came up with the idea. As for why he made the rule, he said, “I think it’s a nice way to remind people to use their manners.”
