Three days ago my parents took me to Beijing on vacation. I was very happy when I heard it.

On the way there, I looked out of the window to see the white clouds (云彩). I looked down and saw the beautiful city—the capital (首都) of China. It took us about three hours to get to Beijing. Everything was new and interesting because it was my first time to come here. We were tired, so we stayed at a hotel at first.

The next day we visited the Tian’anmen Square (广场). It was really large and wonderful!     Then we went to the Palace Museum. It was so large and you could learn a lot about the history of China from it. People said that there were 9,999 rooms in the Palace Museum. I became very interested in it. After coming out of it, it was around noon. We ate some different food, like Beijing Roast Duck and noodles with soybean paste (炸酱面). They were so delicious. After lunch we went to Beijing Zoo. We saw a lot of animals there. The koalas were very cute and the elephants were friendly. Animals were all our friends. We should protect them.

Later we went to the Great Wall. It is the longest (最长的) wall in the world. All in all, Beijing was great. It was an exciting vacation.

【推荐3】At 5: 40 p. m. on February 14, 2021, a big fire happened in Wengding Village —a national 4A tourism resort in Yunnan Province. The fire was under control around 11:15 in the evening. There used to be 105 raw huts（茅草屋） in the village,   but now only four of them remain intact（完整的）. Luckily, no one was injured. Many people think it is a pity that they won’t have a chance to enjoy the beauty of the village anymore.

Wengding village has a history of nearly 400 years. The straw huts are mostly made of bamboo and wood by the people. It is considered to be the last primitive tribe（原始部落） in China. Many of the structures in Wengding were listed as provincial cultural relics（文物） by Yunnan Province in 2012. Wengding, in Wa language, means a place of clouds and mists. It is an important part of the tourism area in Lincang City in Yunnan Province which is named as one of the top 10 beautiful lages in Lincang. It is also a part of the Nangunhe National Park. As the last primitive tribe, it is the birthplace of the world, Wa culture, and also a living museum of Wa culture.

It’s reported that Wengding Village will be rebuilt. If so, people will still have the chance to visit this special place and know more about the culture of Wa people.
