Last summer I spent my vacation     1     my family in Beijing. Our train got to Beijing at eight in the evening. We     2     in a hotel near Tian’anmen Square. We got up early the next morning     3     we wanted to watch the flag-raising ceremony (升旗仪式) in Tian’anmen Square. There were many people in the square     4     we got there. I was very     5     to watch the national flag (国旗) go up. Then we went to     6     the Palace Museum (故宫博物馆). We spent all the     7     visiting it. In the afternoon, we went to the Great Wall. We took a bus there. We were happy and     8     on the bus. When we arrived at the Great Wall, it was 2:00 pm. We     9     many photos there. How beautiful the Great wall is! Travel can teach kids more than a textbook. First, traveling with kids is good     1     them. They can find new interests. Travel makes information lively for kids, and makes it much more exciting than studying textbooks. While travelling, they learn     2     to deal with new situations, and communicate with other people. Also, they learn to wait, because sometimes it takes     3     long time to get to some exciting or interesting place.

I’ve been traveling     4     I was seven years old. For me, to stop traveling would be like     5     something important away from my soul (灵魂). I can’t live     6     traveling and I won’t be who I am if I don’t travel. So when some people say it’s difficult to travel after having     7    , I completely disagree. Traveling often brings us pleasure. But last summer, I had a bad travel experience. I visited Mount Wuyi with my parents. Mount Wuyi is famous     1     green forests, clear water and nice tea. Every year, thousands of people go travelling there on vacation .

I booked three train tickets online. The train should start at 8:00, but it was late. We had to wait. When we finally got on the train, it     2     9:00. What’s worse, there was something wrong with the air conditioner. I couldn’t stand the high temperature and the terrible smell in the carriage (车厢). As soon     3     the train arrived, I ran out quickly .

A tour bus took us to the foot of the mountain. We rent three bicycles to ride on. It was too hot. We had to keep drinking along the way. We were tasting delicious Wuyi Tea when it rained suddenly. Riding in the rain became more difficult. I fell down     4     I wasn’t hurt. I felt too tired to ride on. Wenzhou has a long history of more than 2,000 years. It is a good place to spend your free time. You can enjoy its natural scenery. Every year visitors from all over the world come here to spend their holidays. You can come and see Wenzhou any time of the year. The London Eye is a tourist attraction(旅游景点) in London,the UK. There you can get into a capsule(密封舱)to enjoy a great view of the city of London.

I v    1     the London Eye last summer with a friend. My friend didn't know w    2    to go. I just told him we w    3     go somewhere very special. As we arrived at Waterloo Station, he had w    4     out where we were going. He smiled h    5     . When we reached the London Eye, there was a very long waiting line, so in order to s    6    time, he stayed in the line while I went to buy the tickets.

The capsule doesn't completely(完全地) stop when people get on, so you h    7     to get into it quickly. Then the door of the capsule shuts. The view was wonderful. We took many photos of the view and of o    8    . It took about half an hour for the capsule to go around.

Last summer vacation, I decided to visit Wolong in Sichuan Province. Before I started, my mom reminded me to take care of     1     again and again. Because it was my first time to travel alone, I felt really nervous at first.

Wolong is a large nature reserve(自然保护区), which includes several     2     bases breeding(繁殖) and research. I stayed at     3     small hotel next to Wolong Panda Center after I arrived. I was going to visit the center the next morning.
