【推荐1】Henry was a policeman working in a town. One day he was taking a thief（小偷）to the city. On the way to the railway station, there was a shop. The thief said to Henry, "Please let me buy some bread so that we can have something to eat on the train." Henry agreed and waited in front of the shop. The thief went into the shop and ran away from the back door. All the policemen of the town began to look for the thief. They soon caught him. Henry was told to take the thief to the city again. When they passed by the shop, the thief wanted to buy some bread once more. Henry said, "I know you want to run away again. This time, I'll go to buy bread myself. You must stay here and wait for me."

【推荐2】The heavy rainstorm hit the valley suddenly. The rain poured down and did not stop for more than fifteen days. The rivers and the lakes were swollen (吞没). The animals were hurrying to the top of the mountains to protect themselves, worried and nervous.

However, the monkeys were not among them. They looked more relaxed. One monkey shouted: “We not only have good brains but also are good at jumping and climbing. It’s just a piece of cake for us to make our way to safety if we need to.”

His friends looked too and they all agreed with him. “They are swollen by the floods and can’t breathe. Perhaps we should go and save them,” offered one monkey. Everyone agreed. So the monkeys moved quickly to catch the fish and brought them safely to land as soon as they reached the floods.

Though the fish were hard to catch, the monkeys spared no effort to help them. One monkey even said that it seemed a shame that these animals without legs and arms did not show thanks to the good monkeys.

Soon enough, all the fish were caught and laid out on the land. They lay there quietly. “Not a move from them at all,” noticed a monkey. And another old monkey said “________”.

And with that, the monkeys happily headed to the hills to see what else they could do.
