Sometimes people come into your life and you know that they are there to teach you a lesson, or to help you understand who you are or who you want to become.
You never know these people who may be a classmate, a neighbour or a friend-but when you lock your eyes on them, you know at that very moment they will influence your life in some ways.
Sometimes things that happen to you may seem unpleasant, painful, or frustrating at first. But in another way, you find that without getting over those difficulties you would have never realized your ability, strength or willpower (意志力).
The people you meet and the success you get help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are sometimes the most important ones.
If someone loves you, give love back to them in the way you can,not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.
If someone hurts you, or breaks your heart, forgive (原谅) them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being careful of people around.
Self-confidence is necessary to a person. If you're not confident, it will be hard for others to believe in you. Learn a lesson in life each day that you live!

【推荐1】Why are so many people so afraid to fail? Quite simply because no one tells us how to face the failure (失败). In fact, failure can become experience that means growth. We forget that failure is part of the human condition and that every person has the chance to fail.
Most parents work hard to prevent failure or protect their children. One way is to lower standards. Nearly 60% of parents choose this way. When a child finishes making a table, the mother describes it as “perfect” even though it doesn’t stand stable (牢固的). The other way is to blame (责怪) others. If John fails in science, his teacher is unfair or stupid.
There’s a problem with the two ways. It makes a child unprepared for the real life if they don’t meet enough failure. The young need to learn that no one can be best at everything. No one can win all the time. The young should be allowed to experience failure.
Failure never gives people pleasure. It hurts both grown-ups and children. But it can be really good to your life when you learn to use it.

3. What do you think of failure? And tell the reason.
Learning Is Like a Journey(旅行)
We can remember some important times in our lives. Some things have become good memories. The memories are always in the corner of our mind.
When I was in a kindergarten(幼儿园), I had many toys and friends. They made me laugh and cry. The teachers taught us many songs and games. We played all day. Although we did not know what learning was at that time, we were learning every day.
When I was in a primary school, I was excited to learn school subjects. Nearly every subject caught my attention. However, my favorite subject was science. I remembered on the first day our science teacher told us the sun was like a big fire ball. We were quite surprises and kept our mouths open. We began to wonder at the secret of nature. Later many other things came to our ears. We began to learn carefully.
When I was ten years old, I began to read newspapers, keep a diary, visit museums and make many friends. Every day was something new, interesting and exciting.
Now I am in the middle school. Each day is new to me. Happily, I am still learning. It is like a journey to me. I have learned a lot, but there’s still a long way for me to go. I hope to become a learned(有学问的) person some day.

Machu Picchu (马丘比丘) is an ancient city. It is high in the mountains and has more than 100 sets of stairs. Every year, more than 1 million visitors walk through the city. Now, people who use wheelchairs will also get a chance to see it.
Wheel the World is a travel company that offers such chances to the disabled.
The idea for Wheel the World began in 2017. Alvaro, the founder of the company, was making plans to visit the areas with a number of mountains. He was disabled so he had to use a wheelchair. That year, he put together a team to help with his trip. He also raised 8,000 dollars to buy a special wheelchair. After his trip, he gave the wheelchair to the park. It was to be used by other people with disabilities.
Alvaro started the company with his friend, Camilo. Both of them wanted a company that would help people in wheelchairs visit beautiful places.
Wheel the World can take travelers who use wheelchairs through difficult areas, such as the mountains. During the trip, the special wheelchair, which has only one wheel and two long sticks, can’t be moved by the person in it. Other people are there to help, though.
They believe that with the wheelchair, the disabled may experience the most beautiful moment in their life.

Every year, a magazine called Executive Travel organizes a competition to find the best airline of the year. Travelers from all over the world are invited to vote (投票) for the most punctual (准时的), the safest and the friendliest airline. The competition also invites them to tell their most horrible stories during their travels. Now let’s read some travelers’ tales of bad flying experiences.
One traveler shared his story which happened on a certain African airline. Even if some passengers had boarding cards, they couldn’t still get the seats. They complained and shouted at the airport. Finally, the flight attendants solved the problem by setting a funny rule. Those passengers who ran fastest around the plane twice could get the seats at last.
An overbooked flight that was going from Heathrow Airport to America gave another traveler a bit of a shock. Dressed only in trousers, a shirt and socks, the traveler had been allowed by the flight attendants to leave the aircraft to see if he could get a workmate aboard. But when he returned a few minutes later, he found the plane closed up and about to start moving—with his shoes, wallet, passport and luggage on board. He knocked heavily on the door and then was allowed to get back inside.
Luggage is also a rich source of horror stories. There was the unlucky traveler who left Chicago where the temperature was minus (零下) 11 degrees centigrade. He was going to attend an important meeting in Dallas where the temperature was as high as 26.7 degrees centigrade. Unfortunately, his suitcase had gone to Los Angeles and wasn’t able to be sent to him before the meeting. So he had to _________.
