Many people from ancient and modern times long for becoming a gentleman. But how can someone be a gentleman? Maybe we can find the answers from The Analects of Confucius.
Gentlemen do not refer to (指的是) those who pretend (装作) to be noble (高尚的) and lonely. Instead, they should be good at communicating with others. When facing strangers, a gentleman will be polite, respecting others and cautious (谨慎的) in their words and behavior. This also helps these gentlemen be loved by others. 5 . As a kind of traditional Chinese dress, “mamianqun” (the horse face skirt), first appeared in the Song Dynasty and grew popular during the Ming Dynasty. The two sides of the skirt are pleated (有褶的), and there is a smooth part in the middle, commonly known as “mamian”.
Mamianqun is colorful, mostly red and blue. Red means good luck and joy. According to the Han custom, women usually wore red skirts during festivals. In the Qing Dynasty, blue was also common and popular, paired with black and yellow.

8 . If someone asks which place is the “hottest” in China this winter, of course, Harbin. The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival became an Internet hit in early 2024. However, not everyone knows it is held on January 5th each year.
