文章大意:本文介绍了旅行对人们的影响。

1 . Today more and more people love traveling. It’s a very good way of getting to know new people, learning about different cultures and getting experiences. It helps travelers a lot. Traveling can make our mind wider.

But traveling does more than that. It can also make us more creative. In recent years, a group of scientists have been doing research on what people have already learned from travel experiences. They believe that spending time abroad affects people’s mind. For example, they found that if the students lived abroad for a longer time, they were better at solving problems creatively than those who did not. If you stay in the same place, you can’t experience new scenery, new smells, new sounds and new cultures. All these can wake up your mind and make it more active.

However, that doesn’t mean the more places you’ve been, the more creative you’ll become. Another group of scientists have been doing similar research. They found the people who often traveled from one place to another didn’t have enough time to know more about a new place and a new culture. They weren’t as creative as the people who really spent time getting to know one place. You have to interact(相互影响)with the places you go to and then you can benefit(得益)from them.

If you go traveling, which do you prefer, staying in a place for some time or rushing(匆忙)all the way?

文章大意:本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了中国出借大熊猫,各国动物园是怎样让大熊猫生活得更舒适的。

6 . Pandas are China’s ambassadors (大使) and loved by many people around the world. In February, pandas including Xiang Xiang and Yong Ming came back home. Before this, they were on loan to Japan.

Since the early 1980s, China has stopped giving away pandas as gifts because of their falling numbers. In the 1990s, China started 10-year loans of pandas to other countries. Today about 60 pandas are living abroad.

Making the pandas feel at home, this may lead you the question: How do overseas (海外的) zoos make sure they have what the pandas need to be comfortable?

Wei Rongping, the head of the Wolong Panda Base in Sichuan says the over-seas zoos need to meet several conditions. For example, there must be a healthy and safe environment for pandas to live in. In 2017, to welcome pandas Xingya and Wuwen, the zoo in the Kingdom of the Netherlands built a Chinese style panda house. It offers a clinic (诊所), a cold bamboo keeping room and a nursery (育婴室) when pandas are ready to have babies.

Also, the zoo must give pandas enough food because a panda may eat 12 to 38 kilograms of bamboo in a day, which means they spend at least 12 hours eating each day. 7 . Many of us may have experienced the surprise of seeing recommended(推荐的) songs after listening to certain songs on a music app. When we open shopping websites, we are more likely to see things that we might want to buy.

8 . 根据短文内容,判断正误 (正确“T”,错误“F”)。

Why is music so important to children? Here are some of my thoughts on the subject.

Music has a positive (积极的) effect on young children’s development! New research shows that music has a good influence on young children’s cognitive (认知的) skills, such as spatial reasoning (空间推理) and memory. Research also shows that offering children an interesting environment can support children’s healthy growth and development.

Young children enjoy making music with others! Making music with others gives children a wonderful feeling of belonging to the group. Children might have difficulty joining in activities with others because they are shy, have limited language ability or special needs, but they can freely take part in a music activity.

Music makes young children happy! Children seem to experience much pleasure and joy when listening to music, making music and dancing to music. Whether they are singing along to a CD, playing an instrument or dancing to music around the classroom, most children seem to enjoy participating in a music activity. How wonderful it is to offer children the chance to take part in some activities about music!

The activities can make children feel relaxed.
