I am Cindy. I went on a trip to Paris this summer. I stayed there for two weeks with my parents.

Going to Paris was very     1     for me because it was my first time on a plane. I was so excited and also a little     2    . My mother made all the plans (计划) . We didn’t book a hotel. Hotels are very     3     in Paris. We stayed at my aunt’s house near Paris, so I could visit the city every day with my mother.

The weather was hot but I didn’t mind because there were so many things to do and I didn’t get     4    ! I loved it from the first day I arrived. It was a great feeling to walk in Paris. The city was like a big museum.

First, we visited some very     5     places like the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower. Then we went to the Louvre Museum. We saw one of the greatest paintings in the world—the “Mona Lisa”. At last we took the train to visit Disneyland. We took lots of pictures. The best ride was Space Mountain.

I had a wonderful time in Paris and I loved everything about the city. I will go there again next summer.

We     1     in Australia for three days. We’re having a good time here. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. There is so much to see that it is impossible for me     2     you everything. We     3     in an old but popular hotel now. It is located in the center of Sydney, and our room     4     a wonderful view of the city. There are many big trees and beautiful flowers all over the city and it is great pleasure staying here. The most enjoyable thing is to watch koalas     5     in the tree.

We     6     many places of interest around Sydney yesterday, and the day before yesterday. I’d like to spend more time here, but Linda and May can’t wait     7     the coral reefs (珊瑚礁) in Cairns, so we are going to fly there tomorrow. It is said that words     8     the beauty of the colorful corals. Now, we are busy     9     for the next trip to Cairns so that we     10     when we leave. We can enjoy ourselves in Cairns this time tomorrow. I’m looking forward to visiting the attractions there!

Have you ever been to Thailand? It’s a beautiful country in Southeast Asia. I’ve been     1     Thailand for a few days with my parents. We are here for a holiday. Now we’re staying in Bangkok(曼谷). It’s the capital of Thailand and it’s a very     2     place to visit. Yesterday we visited some     3     of interest in the city. They are great! This morning we went shopping. Bangkok is a wonderful place to shop for jewelry(珠宝) and clothes. My mother     4     a nice necklace(项链). My father and I bought some beautiful shirts. Thailand     5     called “Land of Smiles” because people here are very friendly. And it’s true! When we eat in the restaurants in Bangkok, the waiters are really nice and they’re     6     smiling. Thai food is delicious but it is sometimes a little hot for me. You can also get Chinese food here     7     a lot of Chinese people came to live in Bangkok many years ago. Chinese food is very good, and it isn’t as     8     as Thai food. Our American food can also be found in Bangkok. However, I don’t eat it. You know, I’d like to     9     new things when I travel. The weather has been very hot, Yesterday it rained and got a     10     cool. But today it’s hot again.

Mr. Smith works in Sydney. Last month he had     1     fifteen-day holiday, but he didn’t know where to     2     it. He said to his friend Bill, “I hate hot weather, but I can’t     3     a cool place in Australia. How should I do?”

“That’s easy,” said Bill. “You’d better go to Harbin, China. Snow and ice are     4     the ground now. ”

First, you go to Dover, on the coast, by bus from London. The bus stops at the Ferry Terminal Seven in Dover. You can buy your ticket there. There are several airlines     5     international flights to Paris and other cities in France.
