文章大意:本文主要介绍了我国是如何垃圾分类的以及其他国家的垃圾分类标准。

1 . Have you noticed the waste bins in different colors on the street? Do you often put all the waste in the same bin? It’s reported by Changehun Daily that people must do waste sorting (分类) in most places in Changchun at the end of 2019. Waste sorting is a wonderful way to make good use of energy and protect the environment. But do you know how to sort the waste?

Usually, people should sort their waste into four groups: wet, recyclable, harmful and dry. Different kinds of waste should go into different bins. Wet waste means the things you don’t want but pigs can eat, mostly coming from your kitchen. Things that can be used again, such as paper, metal and glass, are recyclable waste. Harmful waste might be dangerous or cause serious pollution, like medicine and batteries (电池). And any waste that’s not wet, recyclable or harmful will go into the dry waste bin.

Different countries are trying different ways to sort the waste. A university in England has a smart bin. When people drop their waste into the bin, it can tell what kind of waste it is and sort it correctly. The bin can also compress (压缩) the waste to make it smaller in size and take up less space. In South Korea, people have to separate their food waste from other kinds of waste and pay for it. The more food waste they throw away, the more they pay. In Japan, plastic bottles and their caps should go into different bins.

A.To lead in the topic.B.To give an example.

3. What is the 2nd paragraph mainly about?

C.What waste to sort.D.Who takes part in the waste sorting.
4. What can we learn from the passage?
A.People in South Korea have to pay for the harmful waste they throw away.
B.All the countries around the world are doing waste sorting these days.
C.Changchun has the strictest rules for waste sorting in the world.
D.Waste sorting can help make the earth a better place for people to live in.
5. The text is probably taken from ________.

4 . Have you ever imagined being able to communicate with your pets at home and have them understand everything you say? It sounds too good to be true, but scientists have started using AI to help communicate with animals.

Professor Bake told Scientific Magazine that AI allows humans to use technology to watch and understand the sounds and signals animals communicate with so we humans can try to speak back to them. She said trying to communicate in animals’ language could be better than teaching them how to use human sign language. AI is already helping us communicate with bats and bees. This could change what we know about these animals and our relationships with them.

Professor Bake explained how Scientist Tovel had used recordings and AI to understand bats. “Bats have their own language. They often argue over food. They have different names, or ‘signature calls’,” she said, “mother bats lower their voice when speaking to their babies. Their voice can never be heard with human ears. But AI makes this possible because a computer can be trained to listen like a bat.”

Actually, AI has so far achieved a lot in this field. For example, the computer not only listens but also watches bees’ body movement to understand what they are communicating. Bake said scientists now know how bees say things such as “be quiet” or “stop”. Scientist Landlof even created a robot Honeybee that entered a bee’s home and was able to communicate with other bees when it wanted them to stop doing something or fly.

1. How does the writer start the passage?
A.By telling a story.B.By listing reasons.
C.By asking a question.D.By comparing facts.
2. What can AI do in communicating with animals?
A.It can improve relation with animals.
B.It can teach animals sign language.
C.It can help us know more about nature.
D.It can understand animals’ language.
3. What does the underlined word “this” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A.Hearing mother bats’ voice.B.Recording bats’ words.
C.Training human ears.D.Speaking to baby bats.
4. Why does the writer mention bees in the last paragraph?
A.To offer a new way of AI study.B.To introduce a famous scientist in AI.
C.To show what AI has done in the field.D.To describe how AI works in talking to bees.
5. Where can you probably find this text?
A.In a story book.B.In a science magazine.
C.In a poster about AI.D.In an art magazine.

文章大意:本文主要介绍了新技术——密钥登录。它将取代密码,且比密码更安全。

6 .

One of my favorite inventions in recent years is face unlocking. Without needing to lift my fingers and type in the numbers, I can get straight into my phone with just a look. Now there is a new technology designed to replace the password called the “passkey”!

Passkeys turn your phone into something a bit like a wallet, which you can use to store membership cards to all of your apps and services. When you need to log in to a website, you’ll just have to tap a button on your phone and your passkey wallet will let you in without any worry.

And how does it keep this wallet safe? By using the same “biometric (生物统计)” check your phone uses — a face scan or a fingerprint that cannot easily be forged.

Passkeys won’t just save us from having to remember passwords but, perhaps logging in with a passkey will actually be much safer than typing a password. This is because it uses a technology called “public key” cryptography (密码) which is one of the building blocks of the Internet — and is how computers have securely communicated with other computers for so many years. To put it simply, it works a bit like a key, instead of a password.

With a password, the website has to keep a database (数据库) of everyone’s passwords to check against when you log in. But with a passkey, when you create your account on a website, it will effectively create a new lock and key. The website will keep the lock, .

I think it’s a really clever idea, and that passkeys are going to make our digital lives even safer. So, next time you’re complaining that you can’t remember your password, don’t worry too much. It won’t always be like this!

1. The writer explains how the passkeys work by ________.
A.giving examplesB.listing numbers
