Mananne Krutsch started to learn Chinese when she was 2. “I’m leaning Chinese because I like my teachers and classmates.     1     I want to know more about it,” says Mananne, now 13.

There are many students like Mananne.     2     Now they are learning it out of their love for Chinese culture (文化). And they are from Chicago Intercultural Montessori Language School.

The school started in 2009. More than 100 students there are taking Chinese classes.     3     And then Americans who did business (生意) with China joined in. “They want to make sure that their children know how to speak Chinese,” says Roderick Shaw, the head of the school.

    4     “We don’t want to just teach Chinese. We want to make sure that the students can feel the culture of China,” Shaw says. “It tries to build the bridge so that we all will know each other better. This is what our school does.”

2 . Do you want to be a morning person? Here are four easy ways to help you out.

Learn to make money. Ask parents or neighbors if you can do chores (做家务) to make pocket money.     2     You should try to agree on the value of different jobs before starting them. In this way, you can also improve your communication skills, which will help a lot when you have a grown-up job, too.

Make a plan. If you have a big event such as a holiday coming up, it might mean you will need to spend more of your pocket money. So try making a plan for spending and saving.     4     Then it will help you take control of your money.

Spend your money wisely. You should know how much you can reasonably spend each month. Spend your money on what you really need. Then try to cut down on spending. For example, rather than eating out, you can choose to cook at home.

Traveling can be expensive.     1     Try some of the advice below on your next vacation and your wallet will thank you.

Look for city tourism cards. With the card, you can pay less at restaurants and shops. You don’t have to wait for a long time at busy attractions. You might even get free tickets to top tourist attractions (旅游景点). City tourism cards can save your money and time without question.

Don’t get the best room. How long will you stay in your room?     2     Do you really need a bigger room with a good view (景色)?
