Honesty Is a Virtue

It is universally accepted     1     honesty is an important virtue in China. I’m glad to stand here and share my understanding of honesty     2     you .

Most students feel their IQ is what determines how well they are going to do in life, but new research suggests that EQ is a better way for achieving success. Professor Salovey says it is IQ that gets you     1    (employ) but it is EQ that gets promoted. He may be right. Mr. Philips left the old lady speechless with gratitude, and also recommended many friends to buy bananas from the old lady, which they did. From that day on, she made     10     much better living than ever before.

ChatGPT is a chatbot. Some schools     1     (ban) it since its birth. They need time to make rules about     2     it’s to be used properly in class. Some teachers see it as a     3     (cheat) tool. But many principals believe it’s too late to keep AI out of classrooms. A growing number of     4     (educate) say the panic about AI is a lot like the panic caused by the Internet when it was new. One of them says, “ChatGPT is to English and to writing what the calculator is to math.”

When I lived in Boston, I taught English as a second language to adult students from around the world. On the last day, they threw a nice party. I was amazed they had learned enough English     1     (organize) such an event altogether. At the end of the party, they proudly handed me a gift box. After the box     2     (open), I gently lifted a beautiful coat from it. “We went shopping for a new coat!” they all shouted     3     wonderfully perfect English.

After coming to China, I experienced authentic Chinese food. The kinds of food local people consume tell us a lot about themselves; therefore, we can say culture and cuisine go hand in hand, which are both worth     3     (experience).

My name is Haroon Ali Kabeer. I am from Pakistan. As a foreigner, I am impressed with Chinese culture and landscapes. I have been to many cities in China like the capital city of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Urumqi, Suzhou and everywhere in Shandong.

China is a country     4     (know) for its rich culture, long history and breathtaking landscapes. The country’s rich culture, with its unique and advanced educational system, has made it     5     popular place for international students all around the world.

In 2016, I     6     (come) to China to receive education and I must say it was the     7     (good) decision I have made in my life. Another reason for     8     (choose) China was the good relationship between Pakistan and China. The Chinese are friendly with foreigners, especially with Pakistanis.

One of the things I noticed is how Chinese people value education. They take their studies seriously. From primary schools to universities, education is     9     (high) regarded, and that is obvious in the quality of the education system. The education system in China has made sure that students can     10     (equip) with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in life.
