I'm in a band with some of my friend and last year we gave our first public performance. We were very nervous before we started playing because we had never played in the public before. We'd done a lot of practicing together and we knew all the songs very good but playing in front of an audience were totally different. When we finished the first song, they all clapped and cheered, that made us feel much better. I think we play very well and the audience seemed enjoy our performance a lot. Afterwards, lots of people told us what good we were but that we would be famous one day! We were all extremely pleased and quite proud of myself.

Several American students visited our school. Upon our arrival, we gave a warm welcome to them, among them a boy named Tim was to stay with my family for the weekend. This term I joined in the Chinese painting club in our school. The members of our club met once a week. We have difference activities and I enjoy all of it. I was entering the underground parking lot when I heard a little girl shouted, “Mama, Mama!” I looked around and saw the girl in a car alone. I went over to ask her how was the matter. She said she needed to go to the washroom badly. I tell the girl to get out and I would take him to the washroom. She was very gladly and ran with me to the washroom. Nowadays more and more Chinese go to work with bicycle, leaving their cars at home. Why are so many people riding bicycles to work? They have different reason for it.
First, bicycles do not use up any fuel. Therefore, they cost less than other means of transport. Besides, bicycles do not need many space on the road, and it is easily to find a place for it. And everybody knows that riding a bicycle is healthy sport.
When people drive their cars to work or shop, they lost the chance to exercise, but the waste gas from the cars will pollute the air. And moreover, people feel annoying when looking for a parking lot in the busy city center. So I prefer riding a bicycle to drive a car.
We are looking forward to a cleaner and better environment by changing our life style.
