Nowadays, with the growing popular of computers, more and more people are paid less and less attention to their handwriting. According to recent survey, about 85.8 percent of middle school students think of that their handwriting is poor. And for various reasons, many students don’t want to improve his handwriting. 51.5 percent of the students thought that they can just use a computer, so there is no need to waste time improve their handwriting. As the saying go, “Writing style shows the man. Beautiful and neat handwriting is beneficial, especial for middle school students. Therefore, in my opinion, more emphasis should be placed on this aspect in future.
Mother Teresa was born in Macedonia on August 26, 1910. When she was young, she had studied religion and loved everyone. Later, she went to India but taught Geography there for many year.
In 1950, she found the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, that aims to help the poor. Its members are volunteers. Mother Teresa devoted all her life to take care of the poor, the sickness, the homeless and the dying. That devotion won him respect throughout the world and Nobel Peace in 1979. In her later life, Mother Teresa suffered great from heart disease. She died at 87 on September 5, 1997 in India.
Last Sunday Li Lin，one of my classmates，and I go to a bookstore. At a counter we noticed that the foreigner was talking to a clerk，and the clerk didn't understand what the foreigner said. So we went up to the foreigner and was asked if he needed help in English. After known what kind of books he really wanted，we took him to the shelf which he was looking. He was interested in Chinese folk music deep. We gave him some advices on what to choose. The foreigner picked some music tapes with his help. He gave his sincere thanks to us and left，satisfied and happily.
Leaving a store，I returned to my car only to find I have locked my keys and cell phone inside. The teenager riding his bike learnt about my embarrassed situation. I told him that even if I could call my wife，she wouldn't bring him the car key because she was quite busy then. He handed me with his cell phone，"Calling your wife and tell her I'm going to get the key." "That was a ten-mile round trip，"I said. But he told me not worry about it. An hour late，he returned with the key. I offered him some money，so he refused，"Let's just say I need the exercise."
Born in America, Thomas Edison was a great scientist and an inventor. He was once thought to be a boy whom was not worth educating. In fact, he was a man full of imagine.
I admire Edison a lot because his great contributions to the world. He is said to having more than 1,000 inventions. In his lifetime, he was always eager to know what everything worked. He was also very diligent and works day and night. And this explained why he had so much great inventions.
Success can never be easy achieved. Probably I can’t be another Edison himself, but I will work hard to be a worthy person.

People have strange ideas about food. For example, tomato is a kind very delicious vegetable. It is one of useful plant that can be prepared in many ways. It has rich nutrition(营养) and vitamin in it. But in the 18th century, Americans never eat tomatoes. They grew them in their gardens because of tomato plants are so pretty. But they thought the vegetable was poisonous. They called tomatoes “poison apples”.
President Thomas Jefferson, but, knew that tomatoes were good to eat. He was a learning man. He had been to Paris, which he learned to love the taste of tomatoes. He grew many kinds of tomatoes in their garden. The President taught his cook a way for a cream of tomato soup. This beautiful pink soup was served at the President party. The guests thought the soup tasted really well . They never thought their president would serve his honored guests poison apples. Jefferson never spoke with his honored guests about the fact.
8 . Several years before, my friend and I would often drive to Chicago to pay a visit our other friends. After a couple of trips we noticed that there was a homeless man always sitting at a same exit of the subway. One day we brought some food with us and gave them to him. When he saw what we have brought for him, he became exciting with joy. After seeing his reaction, my friend and I decided to take our action a little of farther. One night we packed up sandwiches and bottles of water, looking for people whom were in need. The look of joy in the face of each person we helped was one of the most amazing feeling in my life.
I’m writing to invite you to visit China and spending the summer vacation with me. I have made wonderful plan for it. First, we can go to Qingdao, there it is cool and mild, and have funs at the seaside. Then we were to participate in a tai chi camp in the Wudang Mountains. You are curious about Chinese kung fu, but I believe this is a good chance to learn it. Last, I have also been longed to take you to the countryside. We can stay there for a few days and visit some relatives of me. I think we will be enjoy ourselves at that time. I hope this plan suits you good and I am looking forward to your coming.

10 . Two years before, I traveled to Brazil and rented for a car. Unfortunate, I had an accident and hit another car, which made me staying in a hospital for at least two weeks. I called my parents, but I did not tell them what happened. I knew that they will be worried about me because I was so far away, and my mother would not sleep if she knew the accident. Therefore, I told them interested stories and how I was enjoying Brazil. As a result, nobody knew truth. I still think that it was right to do so.
