It was Sunday. I was doing housework while someone knocked at the door. It was a milkman who sent a bottle of milk. But I didn’t order them. Feeling confused, I noticed a note stick to it. The note says “Dear neighbor, I’m sorry about a noise made by our decoration that will last for three days. The bottle of milk is given to you as a gift show our apology.”
The next day, everyone in the neighborhood were talking about the milk and our coming neighbor. With the decoration being finished, the family finally moved into the neighborhood. People came to help. I was deep touched by this scene which was full on consideration and appreciation.

Yesterday，another student and I go to the airport to meet this year's international students.The first person arrive was Tony Garcia from Colombia, close followed by Julia Smith from Britain. When they were introduced to each other, Tony approached Julia Smith, touched her shoulder or kissed her on the cheek. She stepped back appearing surprised and put up hands, as if in defend. There was a misunderstanding.
Not all cultures greet each other the same way. People not only communicate with speaking language but also express his feelings using nonverbal language. In Britain, people may keep a certain distance. In Japan, they may bow where they meet. In the most countries today, people may shake hand with each other.

Most young people had ever wanted to be famous singers or musicians. They have dreamed of playing in front of the audience. Honest speaking, many people attach great importance on becoming rich and famous.
Many musicians meet and form the band. They may start a group of high school students. At first, they may play to passer-by in the street or subway. Later, they may give performances in pubs or clubs. Of course they want to make a lot of money.

I feel very lucky to have an English teacher like Jane. Though she is strict in us, we all like her. Not only does she teach us a lot of knowledges about English, but she has very good sense of humor. Henry Adams, the American businessman, was rescued and taken to London by accident. Wander down the street, he was penniless and hunger. Then he was invited into a big house, which the two wealthy brothers made a secret bet. While Henry was staring at the food leaving on the table, he answered their questions honest. The two brothers were pleased to find the person they wanted, so they gave him an envelope with money in it and Henry promised not to be open it until 2 o'clock. Henry went into a cheap restaurant to stuff his stomach. Everybody was rude to him if he was in rags. When Henry paid the bill with one-million-pound banknote, all the people doubted that the note was genuine or not. But later they changed their attitude completely and became polite.
