1 . For a period of a month some time ago, I became a vegetarian. Some people won’t eat meat because they think it is cruel to animals, or because of health _____. My reason is a little ____: it is love.

3 . One day last summer, I was waiting for my ride to pick me up at the station. Suddenly I felt the desire to write _______. I opened my bag and found a pen, _______no paper. 4 . A 90-year-old driver is providing it’s never too late to pursue（追求）your dreams. Last year, Hershel McGriff became the ______ driver to compete in a NASCAR event when he raced at the Tucson Speedway in his home state of Arizona.

McGriff has been ______ since he was a teenager. His first time behind the ______ came when he was just 17 years old after he read an ad in his local newspaper and was drawn to the ______ that comes with driving hundreds of miles per hour around a track, ______ for first place.

5 . Sarah Ivermee is a mother from the UK who gave birth to her son Freddie back in 2011. _______, the little boy was born deaf in one ear and nearly deaf in the other.

6 . It’s amazing how one dollar can change the culture of a school.

7 . Soon after my arrival in Luanda, I realized that I was going to have some free time available. I decided to _____ it doing something useful and involving with the ______community.

Ashima has been volunteering at the Foundation for Art and Culture for more than a year.
