5 . Zhang Guimei is the principal of Huaping High School for Girls, based in Lijiang city, Southwest China's Yunnan province. She has been granted the title “Role Model of the Times” in recognition of her devotion to the _______ for girls from poor families.
The school, which was founded by Zhang in 2008, was the first high school in the country to provide _______ education to girls who would otherwise have been unable to continue their studies after completing their nine years of compulsory education.
Anybody who knows Zhang's own conditions will be more deeply _______ by her situation. She has no personal property and has been living in the student dormitory but she has never charged students for tuition fees since its founding.
