1 . Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Getting There
The easiest way to get to Amboseli is by air. Airkenya has daily flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Mombasa Air Safari to Amboseli from Mombasa, Malindi and Diani on the Kenyan Coast. The drive from Nairobi is 4 hours. The road is paved to Namanga but the remaining 75km to Amboseli’s Meshanani Gate is over a rough dirt road. It takes roughly 2.5 hours to cover the 94km between the Chyulu Gate in Tsavo West and Amboseli. The passage on this road should be undertaken only in the presence of an armed convoy. A four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended.
When to Travel
The best time to visit Amboseli National Park is the dry season from January through April and June through October when vegetation is thin and animals congregate at the water holes making them easy to spot. The long rains are in April and May and short rains in November and December.
Health & Safety
Amboseli lies in a malaria risk area and travelers’ diarrhea is a common ailment affecting tourists in Kenya. When packing your suitcase don’t forget to include neutral colored, long-sleeved shirts and trousers, DEET insect repellent and high factor sunscreen. Sleep under a treated mosquito net or in a screened or air conditioned room.

An entrance fee is charged and, in general, is included in the rate of the safari lodge or camp.

Come for the big-name stars — Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman as the good girls — and stay for the drama, action, and comedy, which seem to come in equal measure through all two seasons currently available on Netflix. You’ll laugh, will feel the pain of being a middle-class mom with a tight income, and will be shocked at the funny manners these women get into.
Outer Banks
It may only be one season long (for now), but this fresh Netflix Original Series is supremely worth seeing. It was in the top-10 ranking of the most popular movies and shows on Netflix for weeks after its release for good reason: The show follows a band of teens treasure hunting, fishing, surfing, and occasionally avoiding bullets in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. If the action-packed drama, charming characters don’t get you, the beautiful coastal scenery and warm-weather atmosphere will.

6 . Tennis at NYC Parks
Our courts are as varied as our city; some are quiet, and some are very busy. Some are clay courts, and some are hard courts. Some offer lessons or year-round play. We recommend visiting a court before you play, to understand the culture of your local tennis community and to make sure that the court is right for you.
A permit is needed to use an outdoor court from the first Saturday in April to the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Full-season permits for adults, ages 18 to 61, cost only $100 a year, and discounts are available for seniors, kids, and teens. You can purchase a new tennis permit online, or if you have purchased a permit in the past, you can easily renew your permit.
Seasonal tennis permits are issued on an annual basis, and may be used for unlimited play during the tennis season for which they were issued in one-hour increments for singles play and two-hour increments for doubles play. In the event a seasonal tennis permit is lost, a duplicate (复制的) permit may be obtained for $15. Seasonal tennis permits may not be transferred or resold.
Don’t need a full-season permit? You can purchase a single-play permit for $15. A single-play permit allows you to play at any tennis court for one hour.
City courts that are not in use are available for walk-on play, but at popular courts, you may want to reserve a court in advance. Many courts allow users to sign up on-site for same-day reservations. At a few popular courts, we allow players to make online reservations up to seven days in advance.
Before heading to a court, make sure that you wear smooth-soled tennis shoes, and use a maximum of six tennis balls on each court. Most courts are open from 8:00 a. m. to dusk, except Central Park where courts open at 7:00 a. m. and Randall’s Island where courts open at 7:00 a. m. and close at 7:00 p. m.

7 . Maple Sugar Festival
Maple Sugar Festival is a traditional festival in Canada. It usually starts from the end of March to early April each year. The farms which produce maple syrup will have been changed into new, festive places. This year, it will start on Saturday, March 5 &Sunday, March 6.
For more than 60 years, KNC has celebrated the spring arrival of maple sugar season. We are excited to bring back this sweet tradition with safety foremost in mind. Check out the weekend’s offerings below.

Maple Sugar Tours are included with both ticket options, but pre-registration is required. Tours take place every half hour daily from 9 a. m. -3 p. m. and are limited to 20 guests per tour. In Helmand. Jack Mizon was a hero. Back in Aldershot, he’s a troublemaker. This excellent program by B. Anderson, broadcast early on BBC 3, follows Jack as he returns from Afghanistan. Mizon appears as an interesting. attracting and disordered character, whose quickness to fight sees him facing incarceration (关押) in a civil prison.
Right to Die
Sky Real Lives/SRLHD, 9:00 p.m.
John Zaritsky’s program deals with the controversial question of whether people should be able to choose to end their own lives. Zaritsky focuses on the Swiss Organization Dignities, which helps people with incurable illnesses commit suicide.
The Essay: John Milton
Radio 3, 11:00 p.m.
Radio 3 has just begun a major celebration of John Milton. The Essay all week discusses his essays how they relate to the revolutionary current of his times and of his own career. Areopagitica, his great essay on the freedom of the press and of thought, is discussed tonight by Andreas Whittam Smith, once of this newspaper, founding editor of The Independent, latterly president of the British Board of Film Classification.
