1 . Student Volunteer and Internship (实习) opportunities
Each year, JPR (Jefferson Public Radio) provides opportunities for SOU (Southern Oregon University) students to get involved with the radio station through work, volunteering or to receive course credits.
Student Opportunities
*Music Library Manager
Assist JPR’s Music Director in maintaining the station’s library of over 35,000 albums. Organizational skills are of utmost importance in this position. The duties include categorizing new records, keeping the library in tidy working order, and helping to acquire new digital music submissions.
*Programming Assistant
Assist the station’s Program Director in various marketing-related tasks, including social media, graphic design, community outreach, student engagement awareness, and other duties.
*Music Program Host
Occasionally, JPR has an opportunity for a student to host one of our music programs. This requires in-depth knowledge of the music JPR features, a pleasant, engaging vocal style, and a fairly flexible schedule both for training, and for possible on-air opportunities.
*Music Director Assistant
Review new music added to the JPR music library for lyrical content unacceptable for broadcast, and label songs according to station policy.

2 . 2022 Kids News Short Story competition
Kids News is starting its 2022 Kids News Short Story competition and wants to read all your wonderful stories. Kids News editor(编辑）Kamahl Cogdon encouraged all kids to enter and get all their creative stories down on paper.
"Last year we received almost 2,000 entries and the stories were great," Ms Cogdon said." We have some very creative young minds across Australia and we are looking forward to reading more of their fantastic stories this year."
How to enter
◎Entry to the competition is free for children from Kindergarten to Year 9 studying in an Australian school. One entry per person.
◎All entrants(参赛者）must get permission（许可）from their schools and parents before entering this competition.
◎Entrants can choose any topic they want.

8 . The 2021 Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Awards
The awards contest (奖赛) is to encourage people to explore peace and the human spirit. There are three agecategories (类型): Adult (19&over), Youth (13-18), and Youth (12&under). The yearly contest is open to people worldwide. Your poems must be unpublished (未发表的), and in English.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Alexandria, Egypt
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is the rebirth of the ancient Royal Library of Alexandria, which was built by Alexander the Great some 2,300 years ago. The new library was reborn in 2002 after 10 years of designing, planning and building. Along with the standard libraries with books, there are four museums and also 15 permanent exhibitions.
Geisel Library, University of California: San Diego, United States
Designed by Architect William Pereira in 1970, it looks like a spaceship at first sight. It has appeared in sci-fi films, short stories and novels. Besides its interesting outer appearance, the library also hosts “Dinner in the Library”, which invites readers for cocktails, and also special acts of speaking from excellent authors.

TU Delft Library: The Netherlands
