Chinese products shine among Hangzhou Asian Games participants

Chinese products won the admiration of many foreign participants at the 19h Asian Games, which     1     (conclude) in Hangzhou, the capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province, on Oct. 8th.

Oksana Chusovitina,     2     48-year-old Uzbek gymnast, expressed her admiration for the training     3     (facility) and comfortable accommodations. She even inquired about where     4     (purchase) the same mattress she used in the Asian Games Village. To her delight, the mattress manufacturer gifted her one after hearing about her interest. 2 . Best Campgrounds in U.S. National Parks

The remote campground is located about 6 miles up unpaved Davison Road. This is a small campground, though, with only 26 sites. So you’ll need to book your site well in advance. As far as facilities go, there are solar showers, barbecues and fire pits, picnic tables and food lockers-more than enough for a remote camping adventure. Note that the first part of Davison Road is very steep and winding. Large RVs(房车)are prohibited on this road.

There are five different loops(圈): Loop A and B have electric campsites, while the C and D are tent-only. Loop E is where the group sites are. Note, however, that this campground is extremely popular. Reservations are absolutely recommended from March through November. The off-season, on the other hand, offers first-come, first-served camping.

As an International Dark Sky Park, Great Sand Dunes is also a great place to see the Milky Way and amazing views of North America’s tallest sand dunes. It is popular among children and adults alike. Renting a sled or sand board for an afternoon of fun —you’ll feel like a kid again. Sites can accommodate both RVs and tents.

Nightly rate: $20

It’s a fantastic place to put up a tent. This is free camping, wild camping. The only thing you have to do to camp there is to get a permit in person at the Painted Desert Visitor Center. Once you’re a mile from the trail head, you’re free to set up tents wherever you want. Remember to obey the Leave No Trace principles, though! Of course, there are no facilities in this desert wilderness. So, you’ll need to pack everything you need, from water and food to other supplies.

A resort (度假胜地) in Vietnam has opened a glass-bottomed foot bridge, the third such bridge in the Southeast Asian country,    1     (connect) two mountains. The 150-metre-tall bridge crosses a deep, narrow valley,    2    aim is to bring in thrill-seeking tourists.

One activity that everyone enjoys is sightseeing—so charge your camera and pack your walking shoes as York has a lot of sights for you to see.

The Bar Walls of York

At 3.4 kilometers long, these beautifully preserved walls protected the city for nearly 2,000 years. If you want to walk around the whole walls, it will take you around two hours, but there are multiple points at which you can stop.

Clifford’s Tower

Clifford’s Tower allows you to look at old York. As the only small remaining part of York Castle, there is plenty of history to learn and enjoy. The castle also hosts games and costume play for children and adults can participate too!

York and the Magic of Harry Potter

The Shambles is similar to Diagon Alley and now filled with Harry Potter inspired shops. Nearby Malham Cove, Dalby Forest, York Railway Station, and Brimham Rocks were also used as filming locations in the Harry Potter films. Goathland Railway Station became Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film and featured as Aidensfield in the drama series Heartbeat.

Getting to York

A visit to Yorkshire is easy by car or train. For those looking to explore the north and east of Yorkshire, driving is recommended. The county is easily accessed by the Al or M1 from the north or south. and from the west it can be reached via the M62. The A64 also runs across the county from Leeds to Scarborough, skirting past York in-between.

While most go to France for the twinkling Eiffel Tower, few tour plans involve a stop at the Calanques National Park, which is made up of both land and sea, with over 140 protected species of animals and plants that reside inside. Because of its topography, the park is unique in that it can be explored through a mix of activities both for those who like waterbodies and those who’d rather stay on land.

Contrary to the popular association of national parks with the wilderness it is filled with winding valleys, hills and villages where over 24,000 people live and work. Yorkshire Dales is also home to several food shops, and the park hosts cheese festivals and farmers markets regularly, so it’s best to go hungry.

It is a delight for those who like a bit of history mixed with the biodiversity of national parks. While it houses thousands of species of wildlife, there’s more to the national park than that.
