World Wetlands Day, celebrating annually on 2 February, aims to increase aware and understanding of the importance of wetlands to humans and the globe. It also spreads information about what valuable wetlands are and encourages individuals and governments to take actions to prevent their loss. The day was first organized by a group of environmentalist who wanted to celebrate and protect wetlands.
Wetlands are ecosystems which water is the primary factor controlling the environment and the associated plant and animal life. Wetlands are disappearing at a rate three times fast than forests, making them the Earth’s most threatened ecosystems. Human activities, such as agriculture development, urbanization, pollution, overfishing and climate change, have contributed the loss of wetlands.
Actions needed to save the world’s wetlands from disappearing and restore those we have already lost. That’s because of wetlands provide critical habitats for a vast variety of wildlife, offering valuable opportunities for outdoor recreation, and play a crucial role in flood control.

This summer I take a trip to the undersea world, which turned out extreme fantastic.
The first thing I became aware was all the vivid colors surrounding me. Seeing so extraordinary beauty, I found my heart beat wildly and every cell in my body waking up. I began to explore the fantastic coral. Suddenly, I caught a sight of an eel (鳗鱼) with its heads showing from a hole watching for tasty food. I felt scared to death but fled away. One Saturday afternoon, Li Hua and Wang Ping was having an environmental protection activity near the rivers when they catch sight of a bird on the ground. They picked it out and found it wounded. Thinking it might die without timely help, they took it to home. They made a nest for it but fed it with rice and water. Under their treatment and care, the lucky birds got recovered soon. Late in the evening I was walking in the park. Suddenly I heard screams coming from behind the bushes. I stopped listening and understood that a girl attacked. I heard sounds of fighting. For several moments I was hesitating that I should get involved, but I was frightened and worried about my own safe.
Then I realized that the girl’s voice became more weaker, so I knew I had to act quickly. The next moment, I ran behind the bushes and pulled the attacker off the girl. We fell to the ground and fought with each other for several minute. Then the attacker jumped up and ran away.
Breathing hardly, I slowly came up to the girl. It was dark, but I could not see her face clearly. I felt that she was very frightened. I told her she is safe now. After a few seconds I heard her words with the great surprise in her voice. And then I realized that the girl was my youngest daughter.

Nowadays, many students are worshipping stars so blind that they don’t care about how the stars do. It is really a pity that some fans lose them in the process.

I will share one experience with you. With the College Entrance Examination draw near, I was filled of great anxiety. However, I couldn’t be absorbed in study, resulting from my failing in the examination. I got very discouraging. Just then, my teacher, Miss Zhang, approach me and said, “In life we all have moment when we can’t achieve what we want it. It is natural. Don’t allow those moments to weaken you,but turn them into motivation (动力) to inspire you.” Her words was a reminder which provided me with constant encouragement to smile at life. Finally, I gained what I deserved.

As the saying goes, “Friendship is like sunshine what keeps us warm and helps us grow.” I think it is important for us to making good friends so that we can always have a fun. Our class organized the outdoor activity last Sunday. Forty students participated in them. At 8:00 am, we gathered at the foot of Fu Mountain and set out for the top in high spirit. Along the way, we were chatting, singing and laughing, enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful scenery. When someone fell behind, and a few students would walk back to offering help. About two hours late, we all reached the top. Bathed in the sunshine, we jumped and cheered with greatly joy.
We benefited a lot of the activity. Not only it get us close to nature and reduce our stress, but it also promoted the friendship among us.
