There are many respectable people around us. As for me, my father is the one I respect him. He is a doctor and always takes a positively attitude towards life.

There are various reasons that I admire him. As a doctor, he is devoted to his job, saying “Nothing is more important than saving a life, whenever difficult it is.” In March, he volunteered to go to Wuhan, determining to help those suffering from COVID-19, despite the risk of being infected, which made me promote the understanding of brave and responsibility. As a father, not only does he care about my life, also inspires me to set the high aim and strive for it. But for his encouragement, I couldn’t have made so much progresses.

Such is my father, a great man who set a good example for me and I love him a great deal.

The history of painting in China is long or full of masterpieces from different ages when have their own unique styles.

Truly artistic paintings other than calligraphy (书法) came into exist during the Qin Dynasty and matured in the Wei and Jin periods. It were in the Tang Dynasty that it developed more quicklier than any other previous period. An art continued to advance during the Song and Yuan Dynasties with an increased focus such subjects as mountains and animals. Traditional painting techniques lasted until the end of the Qing Dynasty, when modern painting techniques started off to challenge the traditional one. Although modern paintings had been heavily influenced by the West, they still value traditional painting techniques.

The other day, I discover I couldn’t move my right arm and fingers after sleeping through a flight. Having diagnosed me with neural injury, the doctor suggested I could try acupuncture (针灸). So I followed his advices and began my treatment. Dozens tiny needles were inserted across my arm and fingers. I dared not move, because even a small change of position could cause a acute pain. Two weeks went by after I could eat a meal with chopsticks and it took a month for my arm and fingers to return back to their normal functions. I was very amazing at how magic these needles were. That I had always considered old-fashioned and useless turned out to be of great use. I hope acupuncture, with its help I recovered, will continue to bring health to other people.

After school, I was about to enter into my apartment then I saw a little dirty dog lying beside the dustbin. He looked extremely weak. Immediate the homeless dog filled me with sympathy. So I decided to take him home. I gave him some food and bath. After the bath he looked energy and refreshed. What a lovely dog!

When my parents got home, I asked that I could keep the dog. To my surprised and joy, they agreed. Up to now, he has become a member of our family and everyone had enjoyed his company. Looked at the cute and happy dog today, I realize that I was right to help him. We offered him a shelter and he has brought ourselves great happiness and laughter.

I'm less than pleased to learn that volunteers were wanted for the swimming championship, which is to be held in our city next month. I'm writing to apply the position.

I'm Li Hua, present studying in a high school and I'm convince that I'm qualified to be a volunteer. I can meet the requiring standards. First of all, I'm outgoing, which makes it is possible for me to get along well with others. Besides, I regularly go swimming with friends, equipping myself with enough knowledge to be a qualified volunteer. In addition, I normally participate in the variety of beneficial voluntary activities, as a result of what I am more experienced than others. I'd appreciate it if you could take my application into considerate.

As we know, shared bikes have been made our lives much more convenient. However, we can often see some shared bikes placed messy everywhere. When I talked about this with my classmates last week, we all felt upset but decided to make the change. On Sunday morning, we gather outside the railway station. First, we began dealing shared bikes and tried to put them in order. People who passed by praised that we did. Seeing the bikes in rows again, they felt proud. Then, to encourage people to behave themselves, we put up a larger sign saying “Please Be Civilized While Using A Shared Bike”. Of course, we drew much attention from many passer-by while that also meant our actions would surely make a difference.

I go jogging every day. One morning my wife asked me buy some bread on the way home, so I put a $10 note in my back pockets. I was running happily through the park while another jogger ran into me. He apologized and continued running. I thought it was a bit strange so I checked his pocket and found there was nothing. Run after him, I finally caught up with him and grabbed him in the arm. I shouted at him and ordered that he gave me the $10. He was frightening and quickly gave me the money. Then he ran away as fast as he could.

As soon as 1 got home, I began to tell my wife a story. “You can never imagine what had happened to me just now,” I started. She immediately interrupted “I know, you left the money on the kitchen table.”

My family went on a trip to Mount Huang in Anhui, famous for its amazing sceneries, during the Mid-Autumn Festival this year. It takes us about five hours to get here by train. Once we reached the foot of the mountain, we got down to climb it. My parents and I were great impressed by the beautiful views along the way. About three hours late, we finally got to the top. We had lunch there and the food was tasted really delicious. We both enjoyed ourselves that day but the trip was a truly unforgettable experience. To tell you truth, it is fantastic to be with my family.
