I am so exciting that I can’t wait to share with you what I experienced today. I gave my first lesson in our school, that left me a deep impression. When I entered into the classroom, the students were making much noise. I stood at the door, not knew what to do at first. But soon I realized everything must be done. I asked the kids they liked the English songs. They all say “Yes”. I sang the English song. For my surprise, all the kids began to focus their attentions. All of them had a wonderful English lesson.

I, on behalf our school, would like to express our warm welcome to Mr. Ken Hyland, our distinguished guest. We are lucky to have him to visit our school.

Which is known to us all, being a world famous English linguist, he had written lots of books. I have read many of his books, included Discourse Studies, Teaching and Researching and so on. Today, the remarkable professor is invited to our school to deliver a lecture on English study, which is a opportunity for us to promote our English. Meanwhile, if you have any questions on English, you can ask him for help. I do believe his shining ideas will be benefit to you．

Today is Mother’s Day. I love mother so much that I’ve done many things for him. In the morning I buy some flowers with my pocket money and put them on a vase. In the afternoon, I went to buy some vegetable and cooked simple but delicious dinner for my family. After the meal, I gave mother a card what I made myself and said “Happy Mother’s Day” to her. Then I told her to pay more attention to her healthy and not overwork. I also promised to help her to do some housework from today on. Heard the words, mother was moved to tears.

Today is a specially day, warm but meaningful.

Everyone should take the action to reduce haze (雾霾), which is harmless to our health. First of all, I believe that if we plant more tree, there will be less haze in their city. Trees can absorb exhaust fumes (尾气) from cars, thus reduce pollution. Second, the government should punish the factories where produce too many fumes. Exhaust fumes is the main cause of haze and do greatly harm to people’s health. Maybe we can move factories to areas where few people live. Third, I think it was a great idea to encourage people to use public transportation. Last but not least, we can call on citizens ride bikes if they make short journeys.

Last Friday, our school held a activity about forest fire prevention. Over 500 teachers and students take part. First, we watched several short video about how forest fires start, how dangerous they can and what to do to prevent them. Then, each class designed their own blackboard newspaper, shown the dangers of forest fires and measures we should take in our daily life to prevent from forest fires. We all thought the activity was meaningfully because it let us realized the importance of forest fire prevention. Besides, they also made us know how to prevent or control forest fires.

Now I still remember my working experience in a restaurant last summer. One day, I entered into it to get a meal. However, that attracted my attention was not the menu, but a notice that said, “NOW HIRING”. I took look at the requirements and thought maybe I could had a try. On arriving home, I talk to my parents about get a part-time job in the restaurant during the summer vacation. They strong supported me. Determined to challenge me, I went to the interview. Fortunately, I passed it but I was really pride of myself!

Now I’d like to tell you why I learn English. I often read English al oud and try to learn something important by heart, which can help you remember it easily and form the good habit of think in English. I listen a lot of and talk with others in English. However, I have improved my spoken English. I keep an diary in English every day and my written English are becoming better and better. I also try my best master the necessary grammar. In this way, I can expressed myself in English correctly. That’s the way I have been learning English. I hope it will be very use to you.

Last Sunday morning, I planned to have a long sleep, but my mother woke me up in a louder voice, “Time to get up, sweetheart.” It was just 8: 30 in the morning, so I reply, “It’s still early, Mum. I want to sleep again.” However, no sooner had I continued my sleep than my mother pulled me out of bed. When my parents and I started out for their home in the countryside, the weather was fine and I was cheerfully. Upon arriving at our farmland, we began to work in the field. At the beginning, my mother taught me what to grow vegetables. And it took me some minutes learn to take the care of them. After that, I was asked to turn over the soil with a digger and I soon ran out of my energy. Although do farm work was tiring, but I had a really great day. Now I realize it is of great important to do farm work even for us students because we should have any labor education.
